They were at one of our dealerships today. It was a little chilly and raining quite a bit so most people had vacated. We got my favorite Buell hat and one of the wife's Buell shirts signed.

Erik's a cool and down to earth guy. Pretty shy for a man of his fame, too. It was great to finally meet the man behind my greatest obsession and the cause of years of financial hardship .

I also picked up a Thunderbolts CD signed by Erik and band (happened to be the last $10 I had). Proceeds go to VH1 Save the Music, and they're a pretty rockin' band, too.

So I'm not photogenic...note the similar lean angles...

I offered up the baby for signing but they said he was too cute...

Too cute?

great looking kid you got rick. how's the job thing going. my daughter works in parts over at brandon h-d currently but she'll be leaving to head up to appleton wi to be with some guy she's only known for about 4 months. not really happy about it but what can you say. she's been approached by the vice president, a guy by the name of gary bang, and was asked what he can do to get her to stay which imo says alot about her as an employee. hopefully she can get a job at one of the dealers in the area up there. have you looked into any of the other dealers in the area or maybe a little further away(brandon).

as far as erik goes, he his top notch. sighned my bike years ago over in daytona and the day before got to sit down and have lunch with him and aaron wilson who ended up winning the battletrax that reg cantrell used to put on in the hops parking lot. there's a rumor that erik might show up at march badness also. take it easy and good luck with the job.

>>>reg cantrell

Reg Kittrelle - on of the sage elders of Buell.

That, if it is the one I am thinking was, was the FIRST ever BattleTrax. I still have some of the long sleeve shirts with the date on them somewhere.

I see there was a sit-in drummer and a new guitar. . . .

Cool

Nevrenuf - The job thing...for now I'm stickin' with it at least 'till I get the Buell back together. I really can't decide what else I'd want to do for myself. The military is the only other job I've enjoyed, and I'm not sure it'd be the best thing for us. About your daughter...things like that make me glad I didn't have a girl! Seriously though, I wish her the best of luck.

Ftd - Was that Team Xtreme? One of the riders, Cory Dady, worked in their family owned shop about a block away from where I used to live in Kissimmee. The owners here won't book 'em 'cause they don't want the parking lot tore up

Court:

I thought I heard someone one stage say that was the original band. And explained some of the hardships for a get together.

cantrell/kittrelle, at least i got the trell part right.(i know i'm far from perfect and sometimes i think i need a new pair of glasses) had fun doing the battle trax though. went through it maybe 4 or 5 times and although my time got better it still didn't hold up to just about every one there. i rode over there just to do that and not wreck the bike and have erik sign the tank so it was a great weekend.

rick, keep the spirit up, stay positive and don't sweat the small sh!t.

Rick- you look absolutely thrilled to have met
Eric Buell. I think that's the first picture I've seen of you where your facial expression can almost pass for a smile!
Cool post bro!
