On his way up he made sure to spray some gravel towards the demo tent on his way out of TWO.
I wonder if he will be back this year.

Carl wont be there this time around or at least wont be with us anyway.

"Dj,
If your offering, I will take ya up on it!"

Hell yeah. Last year I did the Deals Gap ride with Paint_Shaker (a great ride I might add) on Friday, but I really enjoy the shorter loops around the general area.

Don't worry about hooking up with anyone, there are pick-up rides leaving every few minutes it seems like. So much goes on, you won't be able to do it all, with the various rides, photo shoots, long loops, short loops, and visitations and such.

We need a way to identify ourselves by our BadWeb usernames, though. I rode with a guy named Jeremy for a few hours before I realized it was Ft_bstrd. He's not so much a Ft_bstrd as he is a really big one.

It's pretty easy to spot me...

I liked Carl, but I don't really know him like you guys do.

He's even weirder than I am.

Funny, he isn't at all what you had pictured was he? I remember the first time he came to C3 with us, not who I was expecting!

I think Viki is bringing some special GA nametags and then some regular "Hello, I am" nametags.

We plan to ask for BadWeB names at the demo table this year. Maybe it will help us when we've got 3 Mike's on the demo run!

I can already hear the call from the table:

"Fat Bastard, party of one. Fat Bastard, party of one."

If you see me passed out in the creek, just make sure my nose is out of the water and I should be fine.

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same person are we?
This guy has long, kind of scraggly blond hair, had on a one piece racing suit, blue/white. Wore kind of thick glasses. I thought he was a local guy.
I don't remember what bike he came in on, but for some reason I want to say it was an fz1.}

We should all make a flag with our user names, and put them on our backs like the Japanese used to do back in the day.
(If you have seen Heaven and Earth, you will know what I mean)
That would look a bit silly, but I bet it would be effective!

Yup. Carl.

Ah, so he wasn't a local guy then.
Was I correct about his bike? (my long term memory test)

He seemed like an ok guy, but he was being a tard on the demo. Riding side-saddle, standing up, yo-yo'ing, dragging knees.
I just didn't get the riding side-saddle thing... I was like .
He made the person behind him VERY nervous.

I think I also remember him commenting that he could out run pretty much anyone on the local Suches roads, even the locals. Not sure why he felt that was important to say.}

Carl also had an RZ350 out there in October. It was nice smelling 2-stroke smoke again.

If y'all want, you can pre-order your t-shirt and have your name of choice printed on the back.

I can't wait.
I need this break more than ever before.

Carl, oh yeah I remember him.
He's alright when that chip on his shoulder wasn't there.
Funny how that chip fella is always making it so hard on folks that he tends to hang out with.
If anyone plans on bringing chip, please don't.

I remember him! Everybody yelled when he kicked up the gravel.

I was happy with the Demo ride speed last year. Not real fast, but enough to get a feel for what the bike does in the corners.

I rode Demo's all day Saturday last year, just to save what was left of my tires. This year I have a few to demo, but I hope to do some more riding with small groups too.

I wish it would quit snowing here so that I can get a few miles in before the trip. Just ordered the side plastic for the son's Blackbird so that he isn't riding a nekkid bike.

The guy that bought my S3 would like to come but he just got back from a Mexico trip and can't take the extra time off.

Healing well just real tight, wife surprised me with a new ride (not a Buell) and riding it seemed ok on the leg (dont think the sub freezing temp had to do with it). But at least I'm on 2 wheels and will be at badness.

SloRide,

Look me up, I'll take you out some easy, but exciting rides. I'll be on a 2008 White/ Blue XB12R or a 1998 White/ Blue S1W.

DJ,

Watch out for the snapping turtles. Do I need to bring water wings for you??

Brad,
I was really motivated to find a way to get an 1125 and the wife said that the Buell had to go. Since I have been reading some of the ADVrider stories I am now thinking maybe a Uly is in my future.

In the meantime I ran across a really good deal on a slightly used '06 VFR. A neighbor who is really hot for one told me that he'd buy it as soon as I want to sell it so I figured what the heck. It won't be for a couple of years that I can take an off-road trip anyway so I went for the Honda. I did buy a nice Buell jacket for March V though.

And the guy that bought the S3 said that if he tires of it in the future he'd sell it back to me. Kind of torques me off though that it now runs better than it ever has.

for those going up to the dragon, saw a note posted at charleston hd from a leo that was warning anyone that if they are caught in a 30/35 zone doing 50 or over that they will go to jail and bike will be impounded. so although some of you will be in good company, be careful up there all the same.

Seems to me a post like this shows up every year about this time warning people of the LEO smackdown thats about to happen. Probably not true but best to do a little testing of the water before jumping in and getting real crazy none the less.

Last year the smackdown was legit.

I'm hoping "Corkey" will be too busy digging his bunker to turn the Gap into a goat screw.
