It's confirmed! I have off 3/28 thru 4/1 at which point, I take over a new store!

March is going to be awesome. My dad got a Harley, a new store/promotion/pay raise, new girlfriend, and my first vacation in 10 years!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMc-VJy65z0&feature =related

Here is a youtube video that talks about the "few" dangerous sport bike riders creating havoc around blood mountain. they also mention TWO and talk to the owner.

I found the video fairly interesting.

also if you add &fmt=6 to the end of the video url it will play it at high resolution. but it only works on a small number of videos, this isn't one of them.

...yeah that was last year...
I hate that report, they make it sound like all the accidents were on the loop, when in fact they were all accidents from all counties mentioned, combined.
Yes there are some bad riders, there are some idiots, but the good guys are rarely reported.
The good guys aren't news worthy...

I wonder how long the wait is going to be for demoing the 1125r? Also, I wonder how many people are going to be banned from the demos once they get off the 1125r? LOL

Act like a jerk, and you'll get banned from the event (not just the demo).

They don't play around.

The MBV demos are well controlled. If you want to thrash a demo, go to an Inside Pass track day!!!

Oh, I know how the rules are set up.
I was just remembering last year, I was riding sweeper and there was a guy that was actin' a foo'... he ended up getting banned a little later in the day.
On his way up he made sure to spray some gravel towards the demo tent on his way out of TWO.
I wonder if he will be back this year.

I figure the 1125r will probably tempt a few demo-ers to test the rules.

They don't play around.
There's no room to play around when it comes to demo bikes and the demo ride.
I've taken the key out of one demo rider's demo bike at the Fire Station, and had him wait there until someone could go pick him up.
Believe me, no one was in a hurry to go pick him up either.
When he got back to T.W.O. he was telling everyone that we don't play.
There were no other incidents that day.
To my surprise he wasn't pissed at all, well with me anyway, he was quite upset with himself.
In case you're wondering what he did, he slowed down in a straight, then sped up to go into a turn so he could hang off the bike.
I was sweeping during that ride, and he was one bike ahead of me, so I saw the whole thing.

All you really need to do is keep pace with the lead rider, don't slow way down so you can speed up (yo-yoing). If you can not keep the pace with everyone else, it will be evident, and we'll take care of you. The lead rider will go the posted speed limit, this may sound slow, but it's really not. Ride responsibly.

I don't even do the demo rides anymore, unless a new model has been introduced. Some people use the demo ride to show their inconsideration and rudness for free (you know who you are). It's a pretty efficient way to do it if you want everyone to know what an idiot you are.

You are not allowed to stand up on the pegs either... a silly rule if you ask me. Some of us feel way more comfortable at very slow speeds standing up on the pegs. I got a friendly wave of a finger for doing the slow turn back onto the gravel up on the pegs when I was on a Blast (of all things).

Don't mess around during the demo ride.

Quick Question,

Since this is my first MB event, but not my first demo ride with Buell or HD; will there be any other rides going on that day at the same time?

I might not feel like playing the demo game and would much rather be out following a local yocal on some of these much acclaimed North Georgia roads.

Please keep in mind I am a PACE rider, but I tend to have a photographic memory when it comes to riding. Meaning, after you spin me through one loop on a road, I have it memorized enough that I may or may not ride with a pack.

Slowride,
There is a constant flow of folks out riding throughout the weekend.

There is also a group that is going to the Dragon on friday morning. I think they are planning for a kickstand up takeoff at 9am from TWO.

Ratyson,
That brings up another question, has anyone put together a ride schedule (demo, C3, etc.) of the various groups.

I would be willing to help out with such a task if no one else has produced something like this.

Basically,
I know I would like to ride with FBSTRD and Glitch at some point in the weekend that isn't a Demo ride, but I have no intentions of limiting who I ride with and would like to see all the groups kickstand up times?

Let me know if I can help. Unfortunately, I am a Project Manger and a list like this would be walk in the park if I had all the information.

There is plenty of that. I had the extreme pleasure of introducing some new MB'ers to the roads their first day there (in a very cautious fashion, I might add). I used to be a local, now I'm an out-of-town-local. It usually takes a few hours to get the rhythm of the roads down even for me.

Slowride, March Badness is more than demo rides. As a matter of fact there are more people showing up that have no interest in demo rides then those that do. March Badness started out as a demo event, and officially it still is, but it's much more than that, you'll see.
As far as schedules go, I hate 'em, loathe 'em, can't stand 'em. The only schedule I will take semi-seriously is when I need to lead/sweep for a demo, once my time is up, I'm out riding.
There will be groups of every size going and coming. Solo rides, all the way up to some pretty large groups. Just shake a hand or two, make a friend or three, and you'll be in on several rides I'm sure.
It's not unusual for me to put well over 1000 miles during a March Badness, and I trailer up.
