Oh my god, it was about time. The past couple weeks was nothing but lots of cold and lots of snow. But today, I walked out of my office to find a sunny, 53 degree afternoon. Rushed home, got my gear, fired her up and hit the road. Did about an hour until the sun started to set. Had to watch all the melted snow in the road but had no close calls with conditions or other drivers. Lots of strange looks, that's for sure. Got home, put the bike away and finished the evening off with a good cigar. Ahh... the good life. As an aside, my new Suomy Spec 1R Helmet is tops. Not as much wind noise as I was expecting, though the engine did sound a little louder than the Icon I was using before. One thing's for sure, the quality is evident and worth the price of admission. The light weight-ness is SUPERB. Like it wasn't even there. (Message edited by xl1200r on March 05, 2008) |
