I'd like to do a Track Pass this summer, but don't have a leather suit, nor do I want to buy one. I'd be doing the TP at Road America, is there anybody who rents suits?

Last year at the Buell Inside Pass event at Mid-Ohio they had 20 + or - suits for to use/rent.
Give them a call and see if they are going to do that again this year.

Wait till August so they are nice and funky and slimy and nasty. Hopefully no one has sharted in the one you get.

When we did inside pass last year we were able to use regular riding gear in the novice group.

When I talked to the people running inside pass for this year, the nice lady I spoke with indicated that the rules will be a little tighter then last year (even in the novice class).

Last year (at Mid Ohio anyway) they didn't enforce the "jacket zips to pants 80%" rule. She indicated they would be this year.

That being said, as I have a 3/4 length jacket, I don't know how they could tell that short of ordering my up against the wall and doing a pat down...

I want to comply regardless, but given the design of my jacket and pants, I don't see it really adding much beyond making everything fussier and bunchier and less comfortable. I have a waist strap that snugs down tight, it's not riding up unless it takes some ribs with it, and the jacket hangs a good 18" below that, and the padded pants come up to where that belt is... if things go badly enough that all that is a problem, a zipper there isn't going to help me.

I though the zipper was to help keep both your legs and torso rolling at the same rate of speed. So your legs don't twist themselves off. To keep you from squidding yourself.
