It was a great race with the new, "cars of today". More of a drivers car. The only thing better than the Daytona 500 was watching Kevin Windham beat Chad Reed in Houston.

The fact that all the cars are basically the same doesn't bother me as much as the 500 miles in a circle. I'd watch it if you threw in some right turns.

With the Camaro and Challenger coming back they need to revive Trans-Am racing. I'd love to see modern mustangs, camaro's, chargers, challengers, and gto's battling it out on complex courses.

Keep the restrictor plates on for Daytona and Dega. I don't need to see cars going airborne and into the stands. Better idea would be to get rid of those two tracks and add a couple more Bristol/Richmond tracks.

i just cant get into nascar.

the only time i watch it is if i am flipping through and they are on a road course. then i only watch about 2-3 minutes so i can see a crash on the next right hand curve!

now rally racing! there is something to watch!!

I got out of NASCAR when the restrictor plates got put on. With the car of tomorrow they need to get the plates off. There will be fewer crashes this year with the new cars. If all else blocking going to be a problem for the first few races until the drivers figure out that the car sticks to the track.
No rice, I agree with you on rally racing. Now there are some drivers. I wish Collin were still alive. Can't get rally racing on TV anymore. Along with speedway racing. I'm cut off.

Ban impact wrenches and give all the pit crews.............. stock automotive lug wrenches.....no ratchets. That aught to give them plenty of time to top off the fuel tanks safely with standard GI Jerry cans......that would be interesting!

Thats why i love the Grand Am Rolex Series. It is what NASCAR should be. Close to stock cars with a few safety tweaks. Ok sure there are lots of silly stickers and funny spoilers, but at least when they switch to the in car camera, you hear the GTO's V8, the BMW's I6, and the Cobalts supercharged 4 banger.
