I love this place!!!! Al's response to FtB explains what's happening to my X-1. I routinely run in the 3k range in 5th gear, and the bike will "stumble" and seem to miss a cycle or two, then continue on. Runs fine otherwise. NOW I know why. Woo Hoo!
Big thanks to all. Dave

Mine does that too.
Sometimes it backfires out like it misses ignition once and sets it off inside the exhaust.
Tightening the headers reduces it but will not eliminate it.
When I first got my bike, I thought it was the ECU crapping out and expected to have it replaced under warranty.
Well it didn't die and it didn't get better.
I grew used to it as a flaw and learned to work around it.
I find that if I cruise at 75, it won't do it. (as much)
If I cruise at 45, it won't do it all day.

9s do run a lot smoother. 12s and tubers shake like a mofo at low rpm. It even surprised some old school Harley guys I know.

OK up date time they took it out for another test ride and it stopped running on them all together it was just dead on the side of the road from what the guy told me had a hard time getting to start again I think he had to call back to the shop for a truck to get him and they still don’t know what I wrong with it.

Paulxb12r,

No Paul (BuellGator) works at the parts counter in G-Ville. EricZ is the one with the turbo at G-ville and he spins wrenches there.

For what it is worth (and unless things have changed), I have found that Ocala and their sister Dealer Crystal River are not very Buell literate....

If they give back again and it is not fixed, it may be worth a trip elsewhere....
