Pretty cool.

Don't know if I'd own one, know I wouldn't for 40K but even if I still don't know for sure.

The engineering is something to be applauded though. Kinda reminds me of the Alien creature.

I saw that monstrosity at IMS.

They can't manage to sell the damn things so they are for rent, with all kinds of stupid rules and high price tags.

feh!

How does that steering mechanism work? I can't figure it out from the photos, or even from the video on the page I posted...

How does that steering mechanism work?

hehe, it doesn't. just read an article in a mag this month that states that it doesn't really turn well. mostly a showbike / design excersize. the reality is, that this bike was a totally conceptual "drawing" that was brought to life by another party who liked it and had money to throw at it.

It looks as though the wheel is fixed in the swingarm, and the ENTIRE swingarm pivots around a central shock tube or something. Am I right?

Ah, so they borrowed the perimeter brake setup from a Buell. How did they mount it? Doesn't Buell have a patent on the mounting system?

if they were copying Akira, they should have gone all the way and made a replica!

I'm waiting for the TRON bike!

It was featured in Robb report, I believe Akira was cited as an influence (Also, big spread on Buell in that issue, very positive.)
