We are traveling from Mason, il to Maryville Thursday and staying there Thursday evening before heading to Suches Friday after HOPEFULLY meeting up with the group. I figure we will get to Maryville at least by 4 on Thursday. Just depends on what time we leave. i have not made hotel reservations yet for Maryville. Thats next on my list. | ||

Glad to see there will be other down there on Thursday. I'll be leaving Cleveland around 6am on Thursday and should get to Maryville around 3pm or possibly a little earlier. From there, I'll head down to Suches through the Gap. If I see anybody...I'll be sure to stop... | ||

'Mornin y'all- Hey Vern- make sure you differentiate between Smoky Mountain (SM) and Stone Mountain (SM)- wouldn't want to confuse any rendezvous that way... My vote is to leave out from Maryville early- I was thinking maybe 8-10AM, from the Shoney's at 129/321, so we can get there on a few new roads. I have been hoping to travel through Tellico Plains, then down through Coker Creek and Reliance, then connecting to 64 and 68, then running south on the more familiar GA 60 to the campsite with at least a couple of hours daylight left to set up camp and relax. Jeremy, how early can you leave Nashvegas? If you want to come up Wednesday evening, I'll pull out the futon for ya. Is Barker coming? Seems he said no earlier- anyone else riding up witcha? My main focus is getting down there during daylight hours with the maximum miles on some killer roads- the route I'm watching will be loads of fun as long as we time it all just right. I'll try to time out a run for the better part of my imagined ride one day soon, then post it for youuns. | ||

I really will be needing to work Thursday am. If I leave here at 11:00 I can be at Smoky Mountain HD Buell at noon. 04buell, if you are going to get into town then and spend the night, just meet us at the dealership. Might as well do lunch with us. Wolf, looks like you can meet us too. It will be on your way in. Brad and I can show you some sweet roads to get to the Dragon from Maryville. Besides that will allow me to watch you eat a lunch so that I can see what is causing your dietary problems!  | ||

04, The group leaving T.W.O. on Friday should be in the Dragon area around noonish- 1:00PM... Let me do some planning. If we meet people there, we may shoot straight to the Dragon and return across the Cherohola so you guys have a shot at that awesome section of roadway too!! | ||

Looks like our plans will be to get into Maryville Thursday late afternoon and look for the Harley Dealership and find a room. The we will take paint shaker up on his offer to meet noonish to 1 :00 and head out with ya'll. Jerry says we cannot make it much earlier than 4 or so on Thursday. umm.... no tent, and I'm afraid i'd spend as much on a tent, 2 sleeping bags and a spot to set up in as I would for a cabin...so I'll be doing the lazy mans camping at Vogel if I can't find one close to Suches. | ||

Tennessee folks: Sounds like the consensus is Thursday meet about 12ish at Smoky Mountain in Mur-vil TN. (Depending on how many Badwebbers overall will be passing this way, that morning/afternoon, I may suggest to my boss that we put on a brunch/lunch feedbag at the Shed- our on-premises entertainment/kitchen facility.) If everyone is wanting to do a Dragon run, I'll try to determine haw heavy the po po will be patrolling. (We COULD bypass the Dragon altogether to run south, towards the Ocoee basin on the way down if it makes sense. Great roads all, very little po po.) Sound doable Phattie? Kewl. I'm down. We'll just have to see how it goes. Maybe Bredesen will be too busy trying to get his bunker built to make Deal's a mess this year. The "shed" sounds great. Nothing like scaring the "locals" with a bunch of them damn Buell people gettin' fed in "their" shed.  | ||
