BASTARD!!! what is it like a 95/98? its the body style around there. i had one of each before my thundercat.

how many miles on it? and check the center cylinder over good. many people even ran a bigger jet in the center carb because it tended to run hot.

Rice I'm actually a Ski-Doo fan but this popped up yesterday. It belongs to the a guy that was the head mechanic at the dealer I bought my sleds from. Its been very well taken care of. New Hyfax, clutch, new studs (192),all stock,3000 miles, all bearings new,and Fox shocks rebuilt. Price..... I'm picking it up for a Grand.

I heard from a Cat fan that they can have problems, true? Anyway, there is one up by me for around $1500, I'm thinking about it!

i had my 95 for almost 5 years. gave it a full tune up when i bought it, and never touched it again. first pull every winter after sitting all summer. now the guy i sold it to was about 450pnds and took it out when it was probably mid 40's and in really deep wet snow trying to race some people with it. needless to say he put a rod through the block at over 100 mph

the 98 i put a clucth on and tuned up when i bought it. i rode it some but not to much. that ended up being my (now ex wifes) sled. we divorced and i sold it to her brothers a few years ago. they were still riding it this winter.

only reason i gave the 800 to her to ride when we were married is because about a month after i bought it i stumbled across an 01 thundercat with 124 miles on it for $3500. there was no way i wasnt getting that!

some of the early ones did have problems burning down the center cylinder. but i dont know of to many doing that. i talked to alot of people about it and the first thing i did on both of them was put different jets in but i cant remember what size.

i miss my 800's and my 1000. havent had a sled the last couple years. after i totaled the thundercat at 140+(that was a mess) i started putting money into bikes because i couldnt justify having a sled and only putting on maybe 1-2000 miles a year at the most because we hadnt been getting any snow here. we always trailered to wisconsin and the U.P.

Oh, it was the 700 wildcats I heard about. The 800 thundercats are good.
$1000?! No_rice is right, you suck.

I rode a 1000 Thundercat once, 172 hp out of the box, this one was not stock. It ate up a 40 acre bean field so fast it should have been illegal.

just remember you have to let off of the gas BEFORE you want to turn. that way it puts the ski's back down on the snow!

Rice,

LOL...... Funny!!! I'm used to big machines. Last couple I had were Ski-Doo Mach Z's. So yeah I'm very familiar with them. First Cat though I've owned.
