I decided to join in the fun...
so I just created a new vector unit for the "standard" system:

useful for... hmm... VERY important calculations!

And don't for get that there is a special name for the inverse of turtle:

Dude I love it, thats funny as hell

I have been half-arsed working on a new "standard" myself for a while. I call it Metric time. Just not sure how I wanna go with the conversion yet. (metric hour longer or shorter then a regular hour).

Nah, don't do that. I don't want to work 10 metric hours a day.

Yea but if I do it so there are 50 hours of "day" and 50 "night" then a 10 hour work day would be awesome. There would be that much more time for riding!

Instead of the MKS (Meter, Kilogram, Second) or CGS (Centimeter, Gram, Second) system - try the FSF: Furlong, Stone, Fortnight

(probably where the Wentworth system came from)

Conversions are trivial.

Wentworth!

Now that was a good system.

I did a high school physics take home test in the FSF system, man was the teacher mad when she had to convert it all back to tell if I was right on not.

There would be that much more time for riding!

but how fast would a bike go in miles per metric hour?

Metric time was invented in France in 1794, per Wikipedia. ( a slow blog that should not be trusted to be factual ) But it goes with what I remember.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metric_time

Not that a divisible by 10 system is inherently bad, ( actually it is, but we have ten easily counted digits, and it's hard to overcome dumb. ) but they went too far.....

I was a metrologist, and occasionally would quote time in Centidays to torque off those who had issues with the metric system. Never mind that the U.S. officially went metric in 1895.

10 hours a day ??? I have a feeling that management everywhere would insist on no overtime before 8 hours.
