Reading about the ZX-10R in the Robb Report motorcycle mag:

"The revised frame stiffness and the new low-down exhaust also demonstrate how hard Kawasaki has worked on weight distribution and the centralization of mass."

Hmm. Where have I heard that before? Hmm...

Sorry if it's a repost, but I love reading stuff like this. And it's funny that the "low slung" exhaust still has about 3/4 of the muffler above the level of the rear axle.

The new Vipers do, the old Cobras did, the occasional 60's Corvette and the errant 70's Van.

There was a "Motorcycle of the Future" theme in one of the major mags recently. Cycle World or Motorcyclist, I don't remember which, but they were talking about a lot of features that are already in use on Buells. They mention a Moto-GP style mass centralized exhaust, but they really mean Buell-style since Moto-GP is just a short tube from the engine without the pollution and sound restrictions. There was something about the frame shaping the airbox and channeling air for cooling - also done by Buell. That's been mentioned as an important part of the frame design on the 1125R. It was kind of funny if you read the article and know a little about Buell. Of course there was no mention of those features on Buells because they centered it all around a realy high horsepower I4.
