I attended a staff conference in Daytona Thurs. and Fri. Daytona is a very different city when it is not Bike Week or Biketoberfest.

I stopped by Bruce Rossmeyers HD and asked about the possibility of getting a Buell neck gaiter. The t-shirt girl directed me to 2 lounging salesmen. The two salesmen didn't get up and told me to check with the front desk receptionist. She sent me to 2 other 20-something motorclothes girls. It was only the 2nd day of empoloyment for one and the other called a Mgr who told her they weren't set up to do it.

It is my understanding that this place is a "Destination". I'll never waste my time there again. Very little Buell stuff- no one greets- blah blah yadda yadda. The other stores were neat though. I kept thinking that they should have a Ducati/Triumph/Buell shop.

Drive 3 1/2 hours to Rossiters (it was on the way home) and despite not having a coupon- Laura took care of me and made sure I had a gaiter when I left.
Class act- knew the product and the giveaway- worked to try to print a coupon (weren't available yet)- and helped a customer get what they wanted.
I will go there again.
I will buy product from them.

There is a reason he is know as Douche Rossmeyer down here.

Horrible salesman, deplorable sales strategy yet some people cant help but give him money hand over fist.

he won't ever get a penny from me. bad experience with the ultra a few years back. just another reason why i have no desire to go to bikeweek or daytona for that matter.

Next time check out Gainesville HD. Very good Buell store. I'll be making a trip from CO back home to FL and then traveling up there to buy the 1125R from there.

Been in Douche Rossmeyers "Destination" 2 times and same deal here, nobody wants to help you with a darn thing.
I'd never buy anything there.

I stopped at Lakeland HD/Buell and enjoyed their shop on the way up and over to Daytona. Good guys in my opinion and they have an active group of riders that used to be a BRAG group.

Don't forget about the stand alone Seminole Buell Shop in Casselberry. Great shop and ~50 miles from Daytona.

I went into OC Harley today in Irvine, California, who claim to be the number one Buell dealer in Ca. They knew nothing about the neck gaiter offer, and I told them for being number one, they are certainly at the end of the line.

I was in Rossmeyer's store a couple of weeks ago. Tons of bikes. Stacked like firewood everywhere. The place was busy. People everywhere. Just a few Buells. This man is not making his money of a couple of Buells. I agree, I think it would be better if Buells were sold in the Ducati/Triumph dealership behind the HD palace. I honestly don't see how the dealership stays in business. He has so many bikes in stock he must have to sell a huge amount just to pay the financing on all those bikes. In all the bikes I saw people on that day, I saw one Buell. A guy rode up on a Ulysses. I got to talking to him. It was a 2006 he bought brand new the week before. He got a great deal on it I thought. I think he said somewhere around $8500, but I can't remember exactly. He was looking at the same Multistrada that caught my eye, but he said he was plenty happy with his 06 Uly.

Anyway, I view Rossmeyer's as a place to go and look at all the eyecandy. Not a place to shop.

Just be glad you don't have to deal with Rossiters on a regular basis - I've been trying to convince them to get some Buell merchandise for a long time now, and they only thing that they have is 2 hats that are WAY overpriced - $27.95 ea!!! After another fiasco I'm having with a set of gloves (don't get me started) I'm probably going to go elsewhere from now on..

My friend and I endured Hell riding up and down 17-92 yesterday. Back and forth, back and forth... We never found the Seminole Buell Shop. Tehn the clouds parts and the light shined down upon the holy land like someone from up above cast a stage light upon it.
Actually we were so caught up in avoiding the construction crap we didnt notice tyhe place sitting behind a giant assed excavator.

We rode the 50+ miles thought the craptastical traffic. And douche Rossmeyers is less than 5 miles away on a deserted back road with one stop light holding me back.

I needed a weekend job to help fund my new garage, and went down there and told the guy I noticed how the Buell stock hadn't moved in over a month. And that with my knowledge learned from here I could probably help them sell a few. Well the floor manager got really pissed off and told me their guy was doing just fine and that i need to back up cause my mouth is writing checks my ass cant cash. And that I was barely qualified to sling T-shirts or sweep the floor.

BTW is Mr. Mike of the Seminole Buell shop is reading I talked my friend into test riding a Uly next weekend, we're going to Ocala HD/B though(but thats just to test ride it). But y'all have got my business, will be back for many many more times in the future. And the neck gaitors were nice to have last night when we were riding home through Ocala.

Bruce Rossmeyer's the new "South of the Border". Traveling down I-95 a few months ago, it became the in-car joke, seeing his fat ugly mug plastered on those gaudy billboards seemingly every 10 miles for hundreds of miles. McDonalds, Cracker Barrels, and HD shops at every exit.

I've known my friend for some time now, more than likely he's doing it to appease me, I'm not getting my hopes up, and I'd advise you aswell.
As for the windscreen I haven't had the opportunity to try the difference. The tank bag had so much crap I couldn't mash it down. Today we're doing a couple miles to get his bike over the 10k miles mark. I'll give you a road report later today. maybe tonight while everyone is watching the game. I still cant get over that whole Will Smith with a flat top look though....

Another reason to hate OC H-D/B.

They would call themselves the number 1 Buell dealer in OC if they had to.
