I concur Tq Freak. Weren't those free from Buell and now they want $12+ for it? I have some turtle fur I use for skiing that is identical to this although it does not have the Buell logo.
Maybe someone wants one bad enough. Thanks again Rick A for the beanie last year, it's very useful right now.

That is pretty crappy. Dealerships get these for free to pass out to Buell owners.
The first day they are allowed to hand them out (Feb. 1st) they put them on Ebay for a free profit.

Now as soon as the Buell owners actually go there, they'll say they're out or never got any.

BS!

If I were Buell, I'd find out what dealership it is (Buy a hat and look at the return shipping info?) and punish them.

From what I understand from previous conversations on the BWB, the dealerships pay for the giveaway items upfront, and Buell reimburses them for them in return for the completed giveaway form. So in reality, the dealer paid for the merchandise and is selling them. As long as they're not faking contact cards it's not criminal. Can't say I like it though.

I must agree, it's pretty tacky for a dealer to be listing these items on E-Bay during the promotion time frame. I wonder what BMC's view is on this practice.

That's correct, we have to buy the promo items up front and are reimbursed for every coupon we turn in. If there's not the same number of coupons for every "missing" item, they don't reimburse us.

Anyone know where the link is? Still not up? got a guy in the showroom who wants one but no coupon to print out...grrrr.

Just printed off my voucher and was checking things out. Looks like all the dealer phone numbers have had their area codes shifted. Looks like they have dropped down one spot, it's that way on the two Ky. dealerships anyway.
Just wanted to throw that out there. There aren't any "contact us" tabs available through that link.

I just contacted one of the managers at Kutter Harley Davidson/Buell in Janesville, WI. They also have a Monroe WI store. I suspect that someone from that store is taking the free stuff and selling it on E-bay. Whoever it is, has lot's of previous "give away" stuff on their "E-bay store". So, anyway, Dan is checking it out. Not that I oppose capitalism or a little free enterprise, but there may be something fishy goin on here. Kutter is a great dealership and I figured I'd give em a heads up.
