So my neighbor is out washing his work truck in the front yard this morning. Not bad, except we are still under water restrictions. I'm pissed at this guy because he just called the homeowners about my son's "unregistered" jeep that he's trying to get back together. ANYWAY.. I see this guys out there this morning so I decide to piss HIM off by racing out of my driveway. Too bad, I got the rear tire in some mud right before hitting the pavement. The throttle that was supposed to launch me into my a-hole glory instead broke the back tire loose causing me to let off said throttle. This action threw the bike into a nasty wobble eventually ending in a hi-side face plant of me and the bike right in front of the house.
Yeah! I showed him!
Got to go get this broken hand fixed now.

Hey, now you can sue him for his overuse of the water which caused the mud to form which lead to your "accidental" crash. Yeah, that's the ticket. (insert appropriate emoticon here)

Sorry about the crash. Sometimes the best laid plans take on a life of their own.

Did he laugh or did he help you up? Would have been a good moment for him to not be a douche.

Showing off or pissed off rarely results in a good outcome.

Funny story!

I had someone call the county because I park my truck on the lot across the steet from my house. We own the property so the presiding sheriff couldnt make me do anything, so we called the county because he was running a commercial business on a strictly residential street.

Our friends from WV come down and park their RV on the side of the road when they get into ormond at like 4AM, and then the WV crew proceed to get hammered out of their mind. Everytime the sheriff comes by and says hey y'all need to move the bus. To which Denny, the owner, says "Let me take a breathalizer test, I guarantee i'm to drunk to operate a vehicle and nobody has a CDL to move that beast but me. And nobody touches it but me. Now if you will be so kind to let me go sleep off the innebriation andf the ensuing hang over i'll gladly park the motorhome behind the houseand out of the way of traffic." usually works and the officer is always nice enough to allow another few hours.

Ferris,

That is a nice story too. A friend of mine tried that many years ago, and as he went back to party he was making jokes about how he(drunkidly) handled the deputy. A few hours later when he came back, the motorhome was gone. Barney had it towed!

Sorry about the hand. Though it's your own fault for living somewhere where you can still ride in the middle of January ! It's currently seven degrees with the wind chill and with snow forecast for the third night in a row. Can't wait for spring, I may have to fire it up in the basement.

Homeowner's associations are f'ing ridiculous.

My mom parks her RV in front of my house about twice a year for a night or two. EVERY time, we (meaning me and my neighbors on BOTH sides) get a notice on our front doors telling US to move OUR motorhome or be cited by the association.

EVERY time, I go get the stupid slip of paper from the neighbors and we laugh about it, while I crumple it into a little ball. Bottom line, the city owns the street and there is no ordinance regarding parking RV's here.

Funny story about the driveway crash, bummer about your hand. Next time I have a few drinks in me, remind me to tell everyone how I "showed" somebody once.

You guys want to hear a funny revenge on your neighbor neighbor story, check this out.

Years ago I had 1975 harley shovelhead. It was kickstart only with an S&S carb.
It was real fussy to start sometimes.
Anyway, one afternoon as I'm cursing & sweating trying to start the damn thing, my a**hole neighbor who has been watching me, decides to walk over to the edge of my driveway and make stupid comments to further piss me off.

He says stuff like: "why don't you get a real bike", and "those harleys sure are junk" etc.

So, now I'm pretty wound up and I'm sweating like pig. I tell him to shut up, but the stupid comments keep coming. the bike is teasing me with a tiny little backfire every 10 - 15 kicks.

Frustrated, I run into the garage & grab a can of ether. I take off the air cleaner & spray it into the carb. Now, when I kick her over she pops and almost starts, but then begins the silent treatment again.

I repeat the ether, and get the same results time after time: a little pop or two - then nothing. Jackass neighbor is laughing and making more comments. I'm ready to throw a wrench at him.

Finally, I twist the throttle wide open and spray a HUGE amount of ether right down the carb throat past the butterfly.
When I kicked it, it backfired so hard through the carb, that it shot the little vacuum plug thingy off the intake manifold and launched it into my neighbors mouth!

He was watching me try to start the bike and apparently his mouth was open when it popped. He made this horrible facial expression and then spit it out onto the ground and began cursing!

When I realized what it was I laughed so hard that it hurt!

Jackass, was still spitting and cursing from that lovely ether flavor as he stormed off toward his house!

I laughed my ass off for ten minutes!
My stomach muscles were so sore from laughing that I could not kick the bike any more. i just gave up for the night.

My gut still hurts from thinking about it.

GaryL- great story! I just got the tally to have my '77's topend rebuilt. Grenaded it on the Cherohala last 4th of July. Luckily I was still in Tellico Plains when it happened.

I can see the whole event you described- could make a good short film, I bet.
