OK my father has an oppurtunity to pick up an 03 Triumph All American 790, for what it cost the mechanic to look at(next to nothing, literally). Diagnosed problem--
pitted carbs where the diaphram floats move up and down(don't ask, I don't know, adn neither does my dad). Hence the reason I am here. Does anyone know of a replacement set, a fix, any good advice? Seriously need to get something to get this bike running. He is picking it up for the pure turn around potential.

ADVICE??????ADVISE????

apply thin layer of suitable filler - remove once set with fine paper to original finish.

what rocket said
but if the part is staright and needs to be an equal plane
put a piece of glass down(coffe table works perfect)on the carpet, place fine sand paper on glass, rough side up, a small amount of water on the back side to the paper wont move so much and do circular motions rubbing the part on the paperwhich sits upon the flat glass

I understand where you guys are heading. But the problem apparently is on the inside of the carbs. Would a filler really work?
Any idea what model Mikuni's to look at?
