http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/201 64/331073.html?1200678880 Seems the Blast did a lot for Buell, http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0KJI/is_8_1 18/ai_n16702057/ and we think that since the Blast is coming around to 10 years of service that perhaps a limited edition would be cool - so the question is what would you like to see in such a bike - you can respond by following that top link and or post something here. Surely the longest running production Buell deserves some kudos! EZ |

I can't believe I'm saying this, but there's a cool looking Blast on Ebay. Somebody modified one using an "R" fairing. |

The new lil Ninja 250 got a full body kit this year, makes it look way more aggressive than in years past... Maybe BUELL could go full fairing on a bike that is half of the others and still feel like it is a naked bike of sorts (it is only a lil cladding after all) |

They should make a blast tall. It would be great in town with a bit of a motard look added. |

I know where a super cheap X1 tuber is... front cylinder that, put the SM clad on it... I hate winter, it makes me do bad things to bikes and bike money |

I used to be ignorant, and thought of the Blast as "half a bike" or a "chick bike" or fill in the blank with a similar expression... BUT at the first American Sport Bike BBQ event held in 2005 at Buellton California, I rode with some guys on some very well modified Blasts, and from what I observed, they handle every bit as well as an XB. On that weekend, I gained a lot of respect for the Blast and those who ride them. I still think they could use an image upgrade in the stock configuration, probably sell more of them if they were altered aesthetically a bit... BUT for the individual with the inclination to put a little time and effort into these bikes, I have to say that they are definitely worth it. I have given a lot of thought to picking up a used Blast for a personal project bike, and I know that I can get all the good advice I need right here on BadWeb. I think a 10th Anniversary edition would be a great idea. |

Riding mine nearly every day as-is with no modifications other than scratches from when my daughter knocked down with her SUV, I can tell you that the Blast is a great in-town and commuter bike that can get you down the freeway at 80 or around town (illegal lane-splitting, borrowing the sidewalk, using the bike lane) quickly and still get 60 to 70 miles per gallon. Bigger bikes are great for relaxed and long rides, but if you got traffic and you need to get there, Blast on through. |

Yeah, the Blast needs an image overhaul. Bad. The 250R has always looked better, and that's with half the engine and a 22 year-old body! The new 2008 250R is just plain badass by comparison. ~SM |
