Oh, yeah, 7000rpm rev limit according to the tach & 140mph measured speed before going into curve. He didn't indicate if that was top speed, but it should be with it's gearing & rev limit. He loves it! | ||

Oh man... gotta consult Mr. Webster? "Dearth"... I'm guessing it means something like "notable absence of" or something to that effect. Darn journalists!!! Well that's a great writeup! As I said a long time ago... when Japanese cars (some called 'em toy cars) were introduced... the reliability was horrible and they were considered "throw-away". Didn't take 'em long to shake that reputation. Buell is doing it even faster... I'm certain of it!  | ||

I loved his analogy that the XB12 is the big block Corvette to the 9's small block. Statements like that from moto-journeys might just make a few people set foot in a Buell/HD dealership for the first time. | ||

the moto-press seems to like revolutionary machines, but, Mr Burns notwithstanding, seems to laregly ignore eveolutionary ones . . . big changes like the new Duc get lots of press, while steady improvement and changes that are not imeediately apparent (like some stuff Guzzi's doin, and Buell as well) seem to go largely un-noticed . . . . .sad state of affairs |
