In the interest of everything old is new again. Looks like Rambo 4 is coming out. Start the countdown to the return of the Rat-tail, mesh t-shirts, acid wash jeans, and day-glo neon shoe laces. "Nothing is over... Nothing."

Back to Vietnam/Thailand, I thought for sure they would update it a bit and send him into Baghdad. (I guess the political correct ninnies thought that too much) Maybe Chuck Norris will kick some butt in the Tigris Euphrates basin in his new flick

The last Rambo I saw had an Afghanistan type setting. Would be interesting if they had him going into the NW China and Pakistan border regions.

Guess I'll just wait for it to come to broadcast TV and the used bookstore circuit in a few years. And if he's going back to where he's been before maybe I'll just watch the Simpsons instead.

They should have retro'd him back to Miami in the 70's and 80's.

He went to Afghanistan in Rambo 3...

he's a hasbeen jerk. ran across him down in coconut grove, miami after the hurricanes. he was trying to impress some sunglass shop girl on the street and when i tried to come up to him to see if i could get an autograph for my son who was like 8 or 9, his cronies said that if he gave me one, he'd have to give everyone an autograph. it was the middle of a work day and no one else was on the street. the guys just some short little but wipe. i hope the movie goes straight to video.

You know what, I've met Sylvester Stallone, and he was very nice to me. I never asked him for an autograph, because I happen to think it's in poor taste to do so. He's just another human being, so give the guy a break.

Just because you feel he owes you an autograph is no reason to slam the guy when you don't get it.

He was actually a student of my dad's way back in the day.

for one pwnzor, did you get his autograph in the past couple years that he's been a nothing. if so, then yea he does need to be nice to people. second, me and my boss at the time were the only one's around him on the street except the sunglass girl. and i was trying to something for my son cause i was working out of town at the time and being apart from my family to make some money wasn't making for a great relatinship and i thought this might help if i was able to come back home with something like that.

his rocky movie bombed cause he is what he is. a hasbeen. you get what you deserve.

the time when not to bother someone is when there having dinner with their family at xmas time. that happened a few years ago when we were at disney eating at the brown derby and when we left LT dan of forest gump(aka gary sinise) was having dinner after reading an xmas story to a bunch of kids. that's when you don't bother someone.

I thought the government told me s teriod s were bad and unhealthy. Stallone has been using them for some time now. Looks pretty healthy to me for a old man.

But then again the government told me Sadaam had WMDs and the war would be over within weeks.

in my experience, most celeb's are a$$'s. i've been to vegas alot and met a handful playing blackjack and poker. most of them didn't sign autographs cause people respected their privacy while they were playing. most would actually talk to you as long as you treated them like they were normal. now there were times when they wanted a blackjack table to themselves and were rude about it. the best one i've met was george clooney. when he was in nc for a movie shoot there were always reports of him being a big tipper around winston-salem. he once gave two girls selling lemonade 20bucks for a small cup.

as for sly, i never met him in vegas, but i was there for the planet hollywood opening in cesar's way back, and he was kinda sh-ity to the average joe.

damn.... neverenuf... your name says it all...

what a bitter person you must be.

That "hasbeen" has more money and a better life than you most likely ever will.

I maintain that he was polite to me, and we had about a five minute conversation about cars.

I never brought up his movies or fame or said "hey you're Sylvester Stallone" or anything. It's all in how you approach and subsequently treat people.

Wahh wahh wahh, you didn't get an autograph. If you think a silly autograph will mend your relationship with your family, you got another thing coming pal.

HTFU!

My dad is my only hero.

Every actor's career dies eventually.

You took a thread about a new movie and the whimsical ramblings about possible plot lines and hijacked it straight into a personal attack on a guy you don't even know.

Your first words: he's a hasbeen jerk.

bitter.

Was it the "cronies" that denied you or was it Sly himself?
I'm wondering if you had politely, softly explained that it was for your son if maybe it would have gone down a different way.

I got to hang out with Christopher Reeves, Mark Hamil, Michael Pare, Peter Jason and Buck Flowers when they were out here filming Village of the Damned. I never once thought about asking any of them for their autograph. They were just some pretty cool peeps that I got to hang out and party with.

Like was already mentioned, they're just people like everyone else. Acting is just a job with better pay and crappier hours.
They all have good days when they're all rainbows and lolipops and there's the bad days when the're in a f*** all state of mind.

i came up on his lackies and asked them if could get an autograph for my son while he was trying to impress some little sunglass shop girl. and how many of you fathers out there wouldn't try to do something to impress your kids. especially when your out of down trying to provide for them knowing that it's gonna be hard not being around for them. just like blake is allowed to say he rocks, i should be allowed to say he sucks. and once again pynsor, when did you get your autograph, in the last couple of years since he's been a no nothing. maybe we can get rocket involved, he's really good at bashing a thread.

also, how many of you people have your bikes autographed by erik buell. raise your hands. the day before i got mine autographed, i was able to sit down and have lunch with the people he was with. i just sat there and listened to what he had to say without opening my mouth once in fear of being an idiot opposed to this guy.
that was a humble experience.

I'm glad I wasn't born with the looks, charm and skill to be a movie star because I would indeed get tired of writing my autograph to every butt wipe that came up to me on the street, at dinner, while walking my dog, while taking a dump in a public restroom, etc, etc.

also, how many of you people have your bikes autographed by erik buell

I did because it's a cool thing the man who's name is on the "tank" is active enough and cares enough to sign his work. However, if he never gave out his autograph I would never have given it a second thought.

so now i'm a butt wipe for my opinion. unless your a father yourself, don't judge me for my opinions. i think erik does it cause he deeply appreciates the people who support him and his product and he probably feels obligated. i don't personally know him so i don't know for sure.

Nevrenuf, you are certainly NOT a butt wipe.
I'm not saying you're wrong or right.
He might be a dick or it might just have been bad timing. I suppose if I was flirting with a gal I wouldn't want to be bothered either. One experience with a person usually isn't enough to sum up a person's whole.

For example, Steve Young, quarter back for the Niners a decade ago. A lot of people who have met him said he was a cool guy. However, when I met him he was a prick.
Since I am the only one I know that has anything bad to say about him, I must consider the possibility that I might have met him when he was in a really crappy mood for whatever reason.
Maybe if I had met him under different circumstances I too would have walked away with the impression that he was cool instead of that bitter "what a prick!" sensation that still lingers within me to this day.

I met him and Arny back in 1990, nice guys, but we were in a setting where we had an appointment and some face to face chat time with them. They were great hosts and definitely one of the high points of being at the university. Arny was pushing the President fitness campaign then. Came to talk to our body building/ wt lifting group, Sly was in town for the Hollywood cafe (now defunct) and heard Arny was in town and on campus. Two classic icons of film and 80s Americana culture. (I have Eriks signature on my dash face btw) Never confuse celebrity with noteriety, they are two very distinct different things. I will see the new Rambo film on the Big Screen; where it belongs

wow, your attention to detail is really lacking here.

I never said I got his autograph. What I DID say is that I NEVER asked for it.

And you can't spell. Perhaps hypnosis will help you.

To judge someone without seeing them in their element is really not that fair. I have heard accounts of Sly acting like a jerk in a Vancouver restaurant. I wasn't there but my wife was. I've also heard Robert Deniro is a jerk.

We often have unrealistic expectations of our idols. Some are very charitable and want to share their celebrity, others want to have a bit of space. It is not for us to decide.

I run the front door of a popular night club in Vancouver and deal with celebs frequently. Some has beens, some new comers, the whole gamut. Nothing aggravates me more than people flipping out about the celebrity that is present. I quite often have to inform our patrons that if they don't treat our celebrity guests with common courtesy, they will have to leave.

There is a time and a place for autographs. Unfortunately for them, they can't show up with any sort of anonymity. They really appreciate it when you treat them with some.

I was in a pub in London once with a young lady, & Frank Sinatra was sitting at the bar, well I had to go take a leak & as luck would have it he was going in as I was coming out.
So I asked him if, when he was done he could pop over to our table & say hi, I told him my name so that the girl would be impressed.
A few minutes later he walks over & says "Hi Innes how're you doing?"
To which I replied "Sod off Frank can't you see I'm with a bird?"

Alright hands up it's just a gag.

But here's one that I've done for real,
You're out & about & you see a celebrity.
You walk up to them & give them YOUR autograph!
The look on their face is priceless.
