Holy crap it's still there!!! I got to play hockey at the Joe Louis Arena a little over a week ago. Well as always I put a Spidey sticker up, knowing I may never be back there, on ice level again! Well it has been 11 days since the Wings or I have played there and the sticker is still up! Look to the top left. these are shots from the game tonight.

As long as Spidey is putting stickers in hockey rinks and the like, rather than the Smoking Pole Bar & Grill... |

Spidey, are you going to sit there with your camera poised in front of you waiting to snap photos during every game? How's the view through the viewfinder? LOL |

apparently that's all they do in Dtown-watch on the telly. I'm sure they are all listed as sellouts but why all the empty seats? I can understand the empties for the CBJ even though they are doing better but when your ice has Hockeytown painted across it...Not a knock, as I'm just curious. Is it the area economy? everyone at Greektown? Palace or whatever it's called now? cool to see the tag still flying. Ida thought it would be gone by now too. |

it is greedy ass Illitch. The price of a lower bowl seat is 85 and the first 5 rows are 95. Upper bowl is 65 for the first 5 and 55 for the next 14 and 45 for the rest. The 9 dollar seats number about 50 and are all obstructed view seating. Not to mention a pizza id 20 bucks a beer is about 8, etc, etc. Not to mention the local economy and the "Ticket Buyers" there are companies here who buy butt loads of tickets and charge a premium cause they will drive you there. It is kind of like legal scalping cause they offer a "service" along with the ticket. I would like to own season tickets but I am not a millionaire LOL |

Spidy is right on, the ticket scalpers i.e. Ticket Master, the local ticket agencies usually buy all tickets available for an event. The arena isn't wrong when they say the game is sold out. The tickets just don't reach the streets. I was really happy to read the Arizona Republic article this morning basically saying the scalpers took it in the shorts. $200.00 seats were going for as little as $35.00 at game for the Fiesta Bowl. BTW, Spiderman, good job of tagging the bench! |

Wow, that is expensive. It seems to be the way a lot of places are going though. All they see are ticket sales, but to me it's kind of like a plague. If the empty seats start showing up they almost grow overnight and then it just sounds like practice come game time. Of course the outdoor game sold out and had 75000 people there! cheap seats are still around down here for 20 and the seats and are very good-I actually like them better as the people are there to watch a game and have fun instead of be seen as is sometimes the case in the lower bowl. There are some that are 10 bucks too but they are only available 2 hrs before game time and sometimes getting consective ones can be tough. beer and dogs are about 5. My only problem is getting the kids to quite spilling the beer when I ask them to carry it back to the seats |

My Blues season tickets have been $7-$8.50 (they are back to $7 now) for the last 7 years. On the aisle, behind the goalie in the end we attack twice. 'course they're also 1 row from the back wall (need a smilie with binoculars) A large soda is $5.75, Jumbo dog with fries is $7. Parking is $5 in an attended garage 2 blocks away. |
