The MX250 had a powerband about 500 RPM wide. . . Topeka HD saved a couple of them in crates and since they didn't sell them we used to used them as spares at our weekly dirt riding adventures.

And YES, like any other motorcycle we owned as kids we raced these too !! In fact they still have a class just for the Harley Hummers at the AMCA Davenport Iowa meet. Here are a couple of my racers:

And Harley's last ditch effort for these American made light weights was called the Bobcat and was produced in 1966 only and sported a fiberglas body. Just like the Super Glide a decade later. But they just couldn't compete with the Japanese invasion and very few were made and only a handful survive making this one of the rarest Harleys of all.

Even Rarer still is this all original Bobcat with the "Hunting and Fishing" kit. I'll bet there are only a couple like this around. Only 41 miles on the clock ! |

I'm sure most would get a kick out of that!!plus....ya got any "Topper" pics?...or maybe you at a race?
Ya' know....I wonder if Erik or Court or Jack Rinehart or any other anon's had these?? |

Ran into this Aermacchi at the 1125R rollout/trackday at Motorsport Ranch. I believe belonged to one of the Buell staff.

Take a close look at the 1954 Anniversary 165....
Really weird color...I know Travis went through a lot of work to get that exact color,it is extremely rare and very difficult to shoot pics of! I believe it was only produced once and was only used on this and MAYBE one other model this year ONLY!I shot numerous angles and every one appeared to be a slightly different shade.It really needs to be seen to be appreciated,just slight angles cause an almost chameleon shift in color.Sometimes it's green,sometimes yellow and even a mustard and gold come out.This is one of the bikes we stopped by the Buell factory with,when we got an incredible personal factory tour and got to hang out with Jack Rinehart.Thanks Jack...your the best example of Buellship I know,equal only to Erik and Court in knowledge and love of the Brand.

Alright already EBear.........I don't have any great shots of my Topper's and with all this bloomin' snow on the ground it is not conducive of rolling them out for a photo shoot.
