That's been around for a while. I haven't seen one in the flesh. I think they are fishing for investors. Nice bike though. |

Last I'd heard, they'd pulled the plug on the deal for lack of investors. http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2006/04/16/norto n-motorcycles-suspend-operations/ I wish they would start building bikes. Those are SWEET! |

absolutely beautiful machines, would be very proud to call one my own. Kenny Dreer is a contributor to BadWeB, in the Storm Fronts "PBR (Portland Buell Riders)" thread, under the screen name 2wheeler, and works for BadWeB sponsor Latus Motors H-D/Buell, if anyone wants to wish him a Merry Christmas. from post 9/17/2007 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=17143&post=974253#POST974253 Hello, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Latus Motors Harley Davidson to the readership. Were located just outside of downtown Portland, Or., about 20 minutes to the southeast. Were easy to find if you ever visit the area, 205 south - exit 11 by the x-tra large American flag, hard to miss. Like our ad banner says "We live Performance" is very true. In all venues of the sport Latus Motors is represented. Tripp Nobles is in his second year with Latus, and we look forward to having Tripp on the new Latus 1125R, Joe Kopp and Brady Mueller handle AMA Flat Track, and our Drag Racing team is represented by Steve Dorn in Top Fuel, Randy Borho in Pro Mod, and I'm in my rookie year on the V-Rod Destroyer. We are a dedicated Buell dealer, having raced competitively for over 10 years with the brand. We know our Buell's. Mike Stegmann is our Performance Specialist, and he's been at it for years, in his game, experience is hard to beat, and he's one of the best in the business. Our owner George Latus is a competitor himself, in his younger days on 2 wheels, today you can find him still piloting open wheel single seaters. I have had conversations with our GM, Tony Beyer in regards 2 agenda's I want to get off the ground: 1.) Establish a Buell Riders Club based out of Latus Motors, I would appreciate responses from all of you Portlander's out there. We can do weekend shorties, or longer more aggressive rides on the other side of the mountain, lots of room to let-r-rip over there. 2.) We'll be getting our first 1125R's soon, I hear November. I've asked Tony if we can get a demo ride (far more that around the block) put together with a limited number of riders. I've got a tentative OK for that, details to follow. So if your into Buell Sport Bike riding, and/or Ulysses stuff I'm game. Let's get together. Regards, and looking forward to meeting you, I can be reached at: Kenny Dreer Special Projects - Team Latus Racing 503-702-4183 kdreer@ccwebster.net |

A bit of Norton related trivia. In a recent History Channel program about high risk motorcycle stunt riders, Evel Knievel (in some footage from an archive, of course) said that he did his first major jump on a Norton 750 Commando. He also mentioned having used Triumphs and Harley-Davidsons. Jack |
