the iphone is sweet, it is very easy to surf on. its really fast when you are in a wifi hot spot. the edge system is kinda slow but works. i find mine comes in handy a lot in every day life. in fact it is the reason why i bought a new macbook pro....

I'll keep u updated. Edge is slower than the wifi, but u'd be surprised how many hot spots are out there. The thing about being way out there is 3G isn't available anyway. I can tell you this from my experience with my 3G blackjack. I really like the google maps and weather features, and the web browser in wifi or edge is outstanding. Shoot by an at&t or apple and play with one, they're fun and useful all in one.

+1 on whats already said plus it's more durable than it appears. Mine survived my highside and subsequent tumble at 70 + with no damage at all

OK now here is the next step: While at Moto GP last year I left my iPhone ear buds at one of the ear plug vendors and has them snip off the OEM buds and replace them with their own. The ones I purchased were the slip inside the ear type of plug with transducers inside, not the more expensive molded type. I was not too sure how they would work with the mic, but they work great under my helmet. The tunes come across loud and clear and I can now take calls while I am in the dyno room. You will have to talk the vendors into what you want as they do not have any pre-made that incorporate the mic on one side. If we had some type of phone mount or the iPhone had voice activation it would work without removing your helmet. ... I am not too interested in taking calls while moving, but sometimes I would like to know who called and if I should stop to take or return the call. ... Terry

PS Only cost a $110

I just got an Iphone too! I was weary at first, fearing that I might end up at Starbucks paying $4 for a cup of coffee, reading the NY Times, and eventually voting for Hillary. So far no such disasters! I am amazed at the "ease of use". I learned most of the functions in a day and now am I finding that crack was truly easier to quit.

yup, that touch screen must transfer heroin into my body thru the pores in my finger tips. the auto spell check feature in sms messages and email is really smart too. another cool thing about it is the fact that apple can (and has already) update and change features on the phone. so some of it's shortcomings like no MMS can be added to existing phones if or when it's added.

another fun feature i dig-- conference call. me being a truck driver that drives at night, talking keeps you awake and alert. the CB is garbage anymore. we have company issued nextels, but it can only be one on one. with the conference call feature i was in upstate NY heading back to cleveland, talking to a co-worker coming out of pittsburgh and another one coming back from columbus. i'm sure other phones have this, but this is the first phone i've had with it.
