Trying to get some ideas on members and their tire buying habbits. Considering trying to talk my boss into becoming a Badweb sponsor. We are known in our area for doing great prices on tires, and I'd like to pass it on to the Buellers here. Aside from tires we're a HD, Honda and Yamaha dealer (Sadly no Buell) Also have a pretty good resource of aftermarket suppliers. Please chime in and give me some input, that way I've got a better chance of talking them into it! | ||

I use Dunlop Qualifiers 120/70/17 front, 180/55/ 17 rear. The other Dunlops stink, to be frank. I usually pay about $250 a pair shipped, on some kind of special. I like to keep a pair on hand as I never know when I might pick up a nail or something. That being said, I think that the Pirelli Diablo Corsa lll's might be more popular, and the Michelin Pilot Power 2ct, and the Metzler M-3 are also top tires. | ||

I will continue to buy the Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires. I threw the original Dunlops away after 1000 miles, replaced them with Metzler M1's, then the Pirelli. I liked the Metzler's but am sold on the Pirelli. | ||

I've probably used Avon tires more than any other. I have used Dunlops, Avons, Pirelli and even a Tomahawk. The best I have ever gotten from a rear tire is 4,000 miles. The worst was 1,800 from a Strada. I am still looking for a magic tire. So far I have gone through one set of D616s, two sets of Avon Azaros, one set of Avon Storms, and one set of Stradas. The tire "tastes" here are varied. There will always be outliers. Cater to the bell curve, and I think you'll find plenty of business from BW. You will also pull in some of the outliers with tire deals. We will want to have competitive tire pricing. Otherwise, you won't really get someone to convert from the mail order source they are currently using. We would also prefer to have someone who is able to respond quickly to tire inquiries and orders. Many of us use BW as a portal to obtain products from sponsors. We would also like to have notifications when certain brands are having "specials". Many of us like to have the next set of tires on hand and will stock up if the deal is right (even if the tire isn't our usual brand). We would also like to have competitive shipping costs. That said, many of us will pay a few more dollars for something in order to support a sponsor. I know I have. It will take a little doing, but I think it will be worth while. I would be looking to see where people are buying their tires currently. This will help you to know WHO the competition is. I buy a about 6 tires a year. 2 front 4 rear. I get Michelin Pilot Powers 2ct. I get a set for 264.95 shipped. Get real close to that and we have a deal. | ||

I buy a few sets a year. I love the Diablo Stradas, I just hope they give me decent mileage. | ||
