Why don't any current Jap bikes excite me like this one does?

Is that a GT550 triple? That was the very first real motorcycle I rode, and I was hooked ever since. Didn't they have a GT380 too? What a cool start for a project. I can't wait to see the finished product.

My brother had a GT380, 3 cylinder 2 stroke. I was really quick and dependable. He rode it for years and put it away wet everytime. I would bet that it is still running.

I'm looking around for a 1976 Honda CB750F1, in yellow. It was my first bike, and I need a project for next summer.

That bike is sweet just the way it is, but I can't wait to see what you've done with it.

sold a gt500 about a month ago. Have a gt750 that is going to be cafed. a friend has a gt550, very cool light bikes great fun to ride. My gt500 was pretty ragged out and VERY hard to find parts for. gt 500 and 750 parts are still very available. That bike is almost too nice to touch.

Ok, heres a few pics after the toy run. The bike is pretty dirty but you get the idea. I hope you guys like it, I have a few things planned for it in the future as well.

They both look pretty outrageous. I'm surprised that you were able to tart up an old Yamaha cruiser into something that would turn my head.

I have a GT 750 water buff also but its stock for now, that one sure makes me think though. I'm glad you like my junker also.

I love that red seat - what attitude! Only thing I would change is to a set of smaller gauges. The HD aftermarket is full of them. Would really lighten the look of the front end.


Oh, and I would chop down that front fender and lose the Suzuki badges on the tank.

Not meaning to be critical, just some opinion.

I'd love to see the faces on people when they hear ring a ding ding instead of the usual 4-stoke blap!!!

a very easy way to make the front end look lower without actually lowering it is to flip the headlight brackets upside down. The lower your guages with simple spacers. i've done and seen it a few times. real simple job

All in good time. I plan on maybe using a different fork but the gauges must stay. This bike has a very cool feature, it has a gear indicator and it lights up a digital number that is gear specific, I.E. 1 2 3 4 5, sorta like something you might see on a star-trek computer or on the elevator. The gauges stay! The next time you see pics it will have a real paint job and a trimmed fender.
