I can understand the fuel injection so long as they still use points for the ignition.

Nope, electronic ignition. But kickstarting is still an option.

No, not yet anyway. I had a very pleasant, albeit cold, XB9S ride yesterday around Seattle and parts south. My shoulder and neck still bother me. But it is getting better, slowly. The XB is such a joy to ride. The 9 has plenty of power for this old boy.

The RE still looks cool and the new motor seems promising. But for me its not ready for prime time now.

They have a classic style, nice availability of custom & factory direct parts, resale hurts, but that lil military version with some knobbies would be perfect for RV camping and forest service road running (yes I would do that to that bike too)
