I rode today for 2 hrs but with a peaked front tire and a Dunlop sportmax on the rear I didn't have any faith in the tires on the cold wet roads so I couldn't really enjoy my machine. I mean its always nice to get out but I just can't relax and get in a groove I guess so I guess its that time a year again to start with the winter mods.

They have some on there. They just have to build it from their side so they really aren't officially called "day laborers". More like "El workos en la Dayo"

Well I am joining the ranks of "out for the season", I was riding home last night when a rider on a Dyna infront of me about 10 lengths, was broadsided by a deer in his back tire. Spun him around twice and then laid it down and slid to a stop. He was uninjured (well for the most part, bruises, and scrapes) VERY LUCKY! he still went w/ the paramedics to the hospitol just in case. that made me wanna wet myself.. cause it happened in a blurr, he never even saw the deer, he was just riding then WHAM on the ground.

So my bike is in the shed for a while, time to powdercoat.. lol

I love living in NC! Winter mods here means plugging in your new Gerbings heated gear

I wanted to ride to work today but my hubby wants to change the oil first. Says whats in there now is for warmer riding. It was just under 30 degrees this am but suppose to be near 60 this afternoon.

Also have a friends heated vest and chaps to use.

Winter is the time of year I almost wish I was back in San Diego.....ALMOST! Then I think about
the cost of living, the quality of the schools my kids were in, the traffic, and I remember why
I made the choice to move back out here.

Well tonight I did my spring maintenance, so that in the "spring" I'll be ready to roll. I installed new front brake pads (Lyndall Gold), traction grips, Buell Pro Series plugs, replaced a broken front muffler clamp and a new dash face plate from PDGMoto.com.

The only thing left to do is cut the ends of the grips to reinstall my Napolean bar end mirrors and give it a bath before putting on the bike pajamas and going into bike hibernation.

When is Spring?

Hopefully I won't have to start my other 2 wheeler (snowblower) until spring also (to put it back away)
