.. we would go into the dealer and pick up the missus' Blast after its 10k maint and I'd tell the sales guys about the 1125R at Road America.

Next thing I know the missus is talking about trading the FJR and her Blast in for an 1125R and an '08 XB12Scg (for her) and wanting numbers from the sales manager!

Anyone want to buy an 05 FJR or 00 Blast?

Well, at least she might be able to keep up with you on a 12S. Hope the numbers work out for you--two new Buells hitting the road together would be too cool.

I feel for you, my wife was perfectly happy with her blast until she rode an XB @ Homecoming. Within a week she was on the phone trying to find a leftover CityX. Now we have 2 bike payments.

i just think it is soo cool that the women in your lives ide their own bike and are interested. My wife, well ex wife, didn't give a rats ass about motorcycles and only rode on the back any cycle i owned twice. When we split up I had a ymaha xs 400, xs 650 which either one would have been a great starter bike. Either would have kept up on the hiway fine with my buell. You guys are lucky to have such good women

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh . . . . if she did! . . . perhaps one of the smartest and cutest gals to ever ride a Buell.

I'm think that MB, tipping the scales at about 85# after a double cheeseburger, could likely keep up with an 1125r!

How cool is this?

Josh,
Would you like to trade? I have to beg, grovel and everything else with mine. I usually just go out and buy it after awhile because I know she won't give her blessing. Something like the last 12 bikes (all since I've been married were bought this way).

'tis easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Use my stategy, just buy the same color bikes all the time--my wife cannot tell one model from the other!!
Or I just hide em in the barn and when she asks I say I have had it for a long time.
Or even better,I tell her it's my brother's.

That reminds me of an episode of Coach when he and Dauber wanted to buy bikes. I could have sworn that they had a camera in my house when they were writing the script. His wife said two things exactly like mine did about buying a Harley:
"Those bikes are really expensive, what are they 2-3 thousand dollars". and "You would never spend that much for something without talking to me about it first?"
I can understand why she wants to be in on the decision, the problem is she wants to wait so long the deal passes.

F_b,
I sure hope your wife doesn't really claim that her new clothes and shoes are her brothers...

But seriously,
and in my best Larry the Cable Guy,
Now that thar's funny, I don't care who ya are!

Somebody had to do it...

Well, she doesn't have a sister and she doesn't understand RHPS at all.
She is a bigger Buell fan then I am (if that's possible) - I think she has a crush on Erik.

And she still wants our old 99 S3T back...

So what's a 00 Buell Blast worth?

Josh,
The Blast seems to be holding steady around 2-2.5K these days.
I assume the 12SCG will be blue with amber wheels since they don't make one in yellow?
: )
I'm getting rid of the DRZ400S in the springtime but I'm not sure what/when I'll add another bike as a playmate for the S2.

She looked at the orange and red and settled (like she did with the Blast) on Black.

I assume we'll be getting yellow bodywork for it later, but they'll match for a while ;)

Wow 2-2.5k? Good thing I asked!

I think you need that nice turbo RS in the classifieds!

I'd love to but if I get another bike I have to wrench on Jenn will kill me.
The 08 Uly looks like it fixed my concerns about steering lock and no more tps resets so I'll see what happens in the springtime.
Planning a trip to Indianapolis in the April - buddy of mine is doing the drive/ride in an Indy car at the Motor Speedway so I'm heading out to watch the carnage. I might decide to just take the S2, I might have another bike by then. I've wreaked some more havoc on my knees since the Buellganza trip and I can't do the 15 hour rides anymore without the right one complaining loudly so I need more seat to peg distance.
Or I could just have surgery ;)
I'd rather get another bike.
That FJR in the classifieds looks like a real creampuff, but I'm not sure if it'll fit in my "garage" ;)
