All right, Noo Yawkuhs. I've seen lots of posts lauding the support from Liberty, NewRoc and Danbury and lots of complaints about Nassau County (Bellmore). But I don't think I've read ANYTHING (positive or negative) regarding New York City Harley/Buell in Long Island City. Does anyone have any feedback regarding them? |

Although I have been in there, (looking for some part) I haven't heard anything good or bad, about them either. I do have a friend who deals with the HD in Riverhead (he has a cityx) and tells me they're good. I've been going out there for oil, filters and such things, parts guy is nice, but no experience with service. |

Eastern Harley (Riverhead) has the most Buell-centric website of any of the area dealers... but when I pointed that out here a year or so ago everyone told me that all he had were left over, unsold tubers that he expected to get full MSRP for... Maybe they've changed? They're pretty far from me... NewRoc is closer actually. As far as Long Island City is concerned... maybe "no news is good news" applies? |

Eastern (Riverhead) has not changed one bit. Same people. Same tubers. (Not that there is anything the matter with tubers.) They have don't have any more Buell parts than the Walmarts across the street. Even the Harley parts are all stuffed in old shoe boxes from which the parts babe can never pull the one you need. The only guy I know who actually bought an XB from them called me the last time it wouldn't run. Seems the Buell service guy was on vacation, and they couldn't look at it for a month. Was July or August if I recall correctly. Turned out to be a few frayed wires under the seat. Not a pretty picture. (Message edited by gentleman_jon on October 05, 2007) |

Parts guy in Long Island City seemed nice enough. I knew exactly what I needed, part numbers and everything so the purchase went smoothly. I also didn't catch any flak for riding a Buell. But then, it's an old, well traveled S2 (matches it's owner nicely ), and I arrived during a day-long downpour that flooded Queens Blvd. So they may have just thought I was nuts .... especially after I told them I was heading out for a 750 mile day trip to Blue Ridge Mountains the next morning Henrik |

dont know about parts at Eastern, but I do know that they have new buells on the floor. They will probably have that maroon M2 forever. |
