Well, for those that DONT know, I have been going through a REALLY ugly, nasty, divorce and custody battle...

The final day in Court was the 26th...

Here is the outcome...

Chase
Custody

Sole Managing Conservatorship
(Sole Custody)

Property..

99 Rodeo
00 Rodeo(now for sale)
99 X1

All household items, etc..

Her....
Only what she has currently in her possesion.

Visitation upon mutal agreement, and, failing that, every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday, from 10 am to 2 pm @ QL&L Visitation Center

I waived the Child Support
But, she is ordered to cover the medical stuff, etc...

All she has left, are her Parental Rights(and those only barely)...

Outcome, I am a Happily Divorced Single Father, on active duty...

I have ALOT of money to find, and fast..

I still owe my lawyer a small fortune...

Have past bills in collections(from the hooker), etc..

The nice truck is for sale, hopefully it sells fast enough, that I can recover smoothly....

But, I might have to sell the bike as well...

Oh well, I still won... and above all else, I can ensure my daughters safety AT ALL TIMES... and try to do the best I can raising her...

Chase

You may want to post your attorney's name and number. : )

I hope to NEVER have to go through a divorce! Glad your outcome was positive.

Congrats Chasespeed...I just did the divorce thing 1.5 yrs ago myself...no kids but it is no easy thing to go through.

You've made it...as deep as the pit looks now for 'catching up'...it will be a much easier climb out of that than hell you've been in the middle of.

Best of luck to you and your daughter!!!

glad to hear that you survived through the ordeal. it's never an easy thing. out of 7 kids, two of us are still married to the same person and at one time by a thread. when one buddy told me about his divorce when he still lived in texas, he said "not only was i divorcing my wife, but i was divorcing every woman that she worked with too". he ended up with custody of his kids also. good luck and god bless you and your daughter.

Divorce sucks, but I would say his outcome was "positive". My buddy's psycho ex-wife got everything including primary custody. Now she exacts additional "settlements" when he wants to see his kids.

Sometimes when it's over, it ain't really over.

If he keeps a record of these additional "settlements" then he can present them for later "adjustments" when it comes time to renegotiate payment and support levels.

Congratulations, Chase!

It sounds like you've got a good attorney there. One that is actually worth the sheepskin that their name is printed on!

And, when looking at the debt, just remember what the late, great Henny Youngman always said, "Know why divorces cost so much? They're WORTH it!!"

Thanks all, though, I do have to disagree with some sentiments...

It wasnt made public info, do to liable, and pending court action, etc...

BUT, she has a MAJOR chemical dependency, one, that actually led to SERIOUS problems with my job, namely suspension of my clearance...

She had 2 abortions while I was "in Hell" over the last couple years, was being investigated by the State for neglect, among other things...

She has been tested, and, EVERY TIME popped for cocaine...13 tests since April of last year...

And I wasnt only divorcing her, it was her Mother...

So, it was a positive outcome, because, now, not only is my daughter safe, but, I can work on hopefully salvaging my career.

Chase, I went thru one 8 years ago. Same kinda crap. Had to file 'ruptcy....blah...blah! It took a couple of years to get back to level, but, very worth it. Stay strong bro! I have since re-married and had a second daughter. It is great! (usually). I have no doubt that with time you will salvage and re-build stronger than ever.
BTW....+1 for father's rights...you won! Not as common as it should be, but, getting better.....Kenny

Chase,

It is good to hear that you won. Unfortunately it is never over when there is children involved.

Stay strong, I hope and pray that you have a strong support group around you (your family)

God Bless you and your child.

That is kinda lacking around here... my family is in New England, and I am stuck in Texas...

But, I have had a lot of help regardless...

Thanks all...

Would if they were only monetary "settlements". Sometimes it's just the hassle of trying to get with his kids. Sometimes it's other stuff.

She simply enjoyed torturing him any way she could. Because he wanted to see his kids, he had to just take it.

Divorce is the reason I never got married. The odds are 50% that a marriage isn't going to make it. Those aren't good enough for me. Yes, you can make you're own odds, but 1/2 of the relationship may not want to.

I hope everything works out the best for you.

Reason why I'm not married, yet. I'm going to make certain she is the right one before marrying her. I give a min. of 2 years together before marriage. Hoping to lower the odds of it going bad.

Here's to a long, smooth, beautifully scenic road for you and your daughter

I feel bad for your ex. Not for the divorce but for whatever led her be in the state she's in.
But I'm very happy for you and your daughter.
She shouldn't have to be exposed to or influenced by the Mom's problems. Ya did good : )

been looking into it...

The coil needs to come off a S3 or X1...

Connectors are different, ECM actually controls the dwell and timing..

No worries, I am bidding on the one on eBay..

Thanks all, it wasnt easy, but, as stated, its the best thing for my daughter...

I just wish her mother would have accepted the help she was offered...

but, you only help those want to be helped..

Congrats. Having gone through my own ugly divorce I know how it feels.
How'd you get full custody? Is your Ex a drug-crazed freak?
Don't sweat your lawyer bill, they're accustomed to waiting for $.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head, coke, in any form, snort, smoke, inject, doesn't matter..

But, according to the judge, that just sealed the deal...

She has no job, refuses to get one, no place to live, etc etc etc etc..

When the state offered to help her get on her feet, she told them to go to hell, etc etc etc..

She is crazy... no worries though..

And the lawyer bill... yeah, well, I have alot of financial stuff to clean up, and it cant wait..

I am active duty, and, owing money isnt cool(i am not talking about loans)..

I have 60-90 after the divorce was done to clean my financial mess up... lets hope my truck sells fast...
