OK well I'll be over end of june next year so I can see I'll have to do a bit of route planning & dieting to get geared up for the culinary challenge.
Cmhxb9, in my house it goes something like this;
mrs grumpy, oh I forgot to tell you we're going to my brothers/sisters/friends for dinner/the weekend.
mr grumpy, but there's nothing on the calendar love, I'd planned on doing the kitchen/garden/garage around then & you've been on at me for weeks to do it.
mrs g, well nothing was blocked in so I said yes, you can do the job next weekend unless you've something else planned?
mr g, well no dearest;
mrs g, you have got something planned haven't you?
mr g, not next weekend but don't book anything in for the 2 weeks around July 4 next year because I'll not be about!
Mrs g, what's this another one of your bike trips?
mr g, yes love, Buell 25th anniversary
mrs g, well I'm going to go somewhere on my own next year too then!
mr g, sure sweetheart wherever you like, just not those two weeks!

I say you extend it. Make it a week long... 500 miles a day... Try to meet up with as many other Buellers that you can across the country.
Won't set any Iron Butt records, but then maybe some people without awesome Aux. tanks could ride with you.

I had 6 TELWAY burgers yesterday. I'm paying for it today.
Did a WAFFLE HOUSE run a couple weeks ago in Findlay OH. BTW TELWAY coffee is touted as the best in the world. |

Dang. Now I'm hungry.
I'm off to Tom Wahl's in Avon N.Y. Rt 5 & 20 a few miles East of Rt.390. Home made root beer & fresh meat burgers pressed flat before cooking..... ( there is another one on Rt 31 in a small plaza just off Rt.490 Bushnell's Basin exit. But it's not the original, which has been there since the 1950's ) Gearing up....bye. |

In New Lebanon, NY there is a little restaurant calledthe Hitching Post Cafe. They make some of the best hand pressed, cooked to order burgers I've ever eaten. It's in a little strip mall called Tilden Place along the short stretch where US Rt.20 and NY Rt.22 run together. If you're in the area, check it out. |
