It'll mean that Buell kicks ass, and next year the Duck will be faster.

I was suprised at how well the car hung in there, at first I thought it was going to be no contest.

I doubt the 1125r has a chance against a 1098 on the track (same expert rider, compare lap times). The ride reviews are that the 1125r is a sporty street bike that's fun for track days, not a street-legal race bike like the 1098 (and the Japanese liter sportbikes).

Read the reviews in Roadracing World this month. Michael Gougis gives it a good review on the streets - Chris Uhlrich identified some issues on the track that would need work if it were to be a "racer" - none of the points are bad per se, they're acknowledging that this is NOT a "race replica."

Oh yea I know the 1125R is not a repli-racer and I really don't think I would want one. and In reality the duc is most likely faster. (dyno-sheet racing 160 hp vs 146 hp)

BUT in my dream world the 1125R is faster and would stomp the Duc and thats all that matters

>>>I doubt the 1125r has a chance against a 1098 on the track

Frankly, I kinda secretly expect to be impressed. . . I'm not sure (given that we're still several weeks from seeing the production bikes) we've seen all the cards played.

The first observation is that the Buell costs about $8,000 less. Has anybody seen a plain ol' $15,000 1098 tested yet? All the reports I've read at the $20,000 1098S.

But. . .the long and short of it is I don't know. But, I'm willing to bet that the magazines are poised to have a heyday. I'd love to see a $12,000 1125r vs $14,000 1098 (not the S) test . . . .
