This past spring i took it upon myself to take my buell apart and address the things that needed to be fixed, leaky rocker boxes both, leaky primary , a base gasket, intake gasket, install new XB rocker box covers, oil pump drive gear, X1 cams, clean carb, and starter gasket. Quite the list if you ask me, i neglected it for too long, plain and simple, i tore it down got my parts, and decided that i had got myself in a lil too deep, I looked in the R.A.N and found myself a guy by the screen name Bluzm2 aka Brad, i contacted him and he reasured me that i wasnt in too deep and that he would donate his time and service. He even came 35 miles cross town to my house and helped me complete my project , almost it ran late and we then completed the project in his shop. He is a top notch guy, i had a good time, and was able to fully enjoy my Buell all summer long because of him. I had a blast on my cyclone this summer, racking up nearly 5000 miles on it. I just wanted to say i cant thank you enuf. There are still good guys left in this world. I am also very happy to be apart of this forum of Buell enthusiasts, this is such an excellent resource for the buell rider, I cant remove the grin from my face when i ride my bike, and am proud "of the rude ride i relish"!!! Thank you very much Brad and to all the badwebbers that help me out with everything thing from simple questions to wrench time on the bike.

Cool . . . typical Brad Johnson.

: )

There is no other motorcycle in the world that seems to showcase people in such a bright light.

Congratulations and thanks for the neat story.

Buell ownership tends to bring out the good in people, but the thing about Brad is that the fact that you're on a Buell isn't what matters.

Whether he was a Suzuki fanatic intestead of a Bueller, or if you showed up in his driveway with a broken down Yami, I'm sure he'd go out of his way to help you out just the same.

He's got a generous streak in him that just doesn't quit, and its pretty damn cool.

Thanks again from me too, BluzM2! You've helped me out setting my suspension, diagnosing my bike's intake leak, changing my tires, and you even spotted me a set of brake pads. I really appreciate it.

Nick

Knock if off you guys, your embarassing me!
Plus you're messing up my reputation as a slacker and a beer freak!

Blake and Nick, seriously, thanks for the VERY kind words.
Some folks play golf multiple time per week, others sit in bars and drink, some do wood working, gardening, you name it..
Me, I love to work on things and fix things that stopped working. Always have, always will.
Motorcycles and the folks that ride them will always have a place in the "Mens Crisis Center".

I'll agree to one of those.
Brad, what are the odds that you will be in the Milwaukee area on Nov. 30

Brad-
Ditto the rest of the comments. Now that I have my S3 running again (bad injector) I need to get together with you to set my TPS. We might be coming up again the first weekend in Oct. If you are going to be around I'll bring it along.
I think I'm still going to offer it up for sale though and start looking at getting an 1125r.

Blake,
Yes, I've had a chance to read through the book.
Some of it was quite valid while other info was a bit dubious.
It's real interesting some of the things that certain groups take as gosple when it comes to performance building and tuning.

Some of the stuff is dead on while other runs completely contrarey to personal experience.
Most books have good information in them like this one.
But it would be a mistake to take only one source and treat it as the Bible" for the particular topic.

Kind of like life in general eh?
I need to get it back to you, I don't want to be responsible for depleteing someone elses library!

Brad
