So Has anyone Created or know of a list of Fantastic Road trips. The sort of thing I am talking about it The Blue Ridge parkway, Alaskan Highway, Pacific Coast Highway. Initially I thought about rt 66 but in researching the road it does not seem all that appealing. Can anyone list more? I am creating a personal list of rides I would like to do. I think the Iron Butt Cross North America from Key West, Florida to Deadhorse, Alaska in 30 days or less sounds interesting. | ||

Route66 gets REAL boring in northern Texas/New Mexico. To add insult to injury, it runs parallel to 40 only with a 50MPH limit. Dead straight and boring to death. Good Mexican food in Tucumcari though. | ||

Here's a start I don't really have a list, there are a few states I'd like to visit. What I'd really like to do, is take a sabbatical, and ride for a year or so, take pictures, and write about it. | ||

Ride across North America and then across Europe. After the first cross-country run maybe a second run but on something like a Blast, make it interesting. Something a little more likely in the near future, I want to ride US-16 from start to finish. That's just south of Charlotte NC, to West Virginia via one fun two-lane mountain road.
