My Father in Law passed last evening from complications of respiatory illness. He was 64 years old and leaves behind a Wife ,2 Children and 2 Grandchildren. He had been in the hospital for 3 weeks after a sudden attack/reaction to medication and had just recently been transferred to a rehabilitation facility where he was making great progress and was on the mend as far as all could tell,so this does come unexpected to our family. My wife and I had thought we had dodged a bullet in regards to explaining where "Grampa" was to our four year old and now we find ourselves faced with the even more difficult explanation of mortality. Though she never would believe it , my wife has always been the "stronger" of the two of us and has a faith in the Lord that gives me pause, but as she has told me in the past "Every Prayer helps " so thank you all for yours.

My father died two weeks ago after a long battle with cancer. I know how you are feeling right now. Know this: Your wife is absolutely correct. Every prayer helps. Each prayer helps your father-in-law, your wife, and you, too.

All of you will be in my family's prayers today.

In Christ,
Patrick

You and your wife as a unit are so much stronger than any individual. When you keep God on the team, you can support each other and handle anything.
It's hard to explain things to kids that you struggle to understand yourself. Fortunately, small children don't need to know as much as we think we do.
You folks are on my list, thanks for letting us know.

"Every Prayer helps"

I hope a prayer from a sinner will help, then.

You got that, and some good karma I wasn't using coming your way.

I did say a prayer for you and your family. Want you to know, I had a similar sitch with my daughter. She was almost five at the time my dad passed away. You will be amazed at how your child works it out, once you find the courage and right words to use. (although "right" is a literal term here) You will find strength in the entire family, use it. Thats why they are there. God Bless

Our prayers are with you all.
Rejoice in the memories and remember that this is a natural part of life that seems un-natural. later, all will make sence.

remember and laugh!
