Looking for the Adventure switch back pants. Any one help me out?

I refuse to order them from my local dealer. They do not deserve any of my hard earned cash.

What a ball buster....

they did get on board as a sponsor at the Inside Pass track day at Mid Ohio..... they are attempting to put together a Buell riders lounge at the new store....They have 3 techs and a salesman that drink the Buell Koolaid.... now if we could just get someone in place to handle motorclothes..... as soon as that cog gets in place you may see them as a sponsor here.... I've been working on that....

You can't give up!!! We must make it better for all of us!!

"You can't give up!!! We must make it better for all of us!!"

There is a good attitude!

I got a pair of Adventure Switchback pants at Iron Valley HD in PA west of Morgantown. They had jackets too but that was back in June.

I got a close look at the switchback stuff and want it bad. Nicely detailed with pull tabs on zips and the works as far as stitching. Quality stuff, IMO well worth the price. The cat that was wearing it told me he got it through his dealer in Wheeling WV. Seen it also on Buell site but they direct you to a nearest dealer.

The switch back is exactly like the joe rocket Alter ego pants and Rasp jacket. I already have the jacket and hope to get the matching pants.

Wolf sorry. I just can't do it, I know your pals with them and all. I honest to god tried with them. The parts guys are great, Gotta love Dan, I won't deal with anyone else. The Clothing People SUCK and are the rudest people I have encountered. Buell lounge....whats that all about? I don't need a lounge, I need sales people that don't treat me like a second class citizen. They could save some money and just put some gear on the shelves to buy. I will say the people at Northstar are more buell friendly than the crew downtown. At least the clothing people acknowledge my buell shirt and then say, we still don't have any.

Did I tell ya the story of my kids last fathers day going to the downtown Farrows Location to buy a Buell shirt. My 6 year old son was told in a rude manner that Buell shirts don't sell and they would not be stocking them. A 6year old. Unbelievable. I guess both of them were crushed. I ordered the shirts from Cityslicker from near Seattle and my wife wrapped them for the kids to give me. It is just real sad.

I may buy parts from them as need be but I will Not buy any apparel, as long as that witch still works there. Too this point I have been traveling and able to get my gaskets, orings and filters else where.

Ya Terry is a great guy and I have not met the technicians and probably will never utilize there service with the special buell labor table they have. I still cannot believe that one......ok charge me at a higher rate, but don't fricken tell me that you are, geezus. That was at my thousand mile maintenance. I haven't been back for service and never intend on going back. If I need warranty service it is going over near Gary to Goves in Piqua.

I think there is enough mechanically skilled buell owners locally that we could repair anything without involving that dealership.

Ran in to Zak, he works at ASK in Grove City and couldn't say enough bad stuff about Buell. Too Funny, and I was gonna buy a quad from him.

I am going to buy a Uly or what ever comes up in the next year or so to haul momma around on and I will not be buying it from Farrows.

Opps I am venting again. Sorry.

Thanks for the Responses, I was hoping someone had them in stock. I am wondering about sizes and most special orders cannot be returned.

"Mark – If you can, please let “Lost in Ohio" know that A.D. Farrow Co.’s emphasis on Buells is moving to NorthStar, and we are taking steps to not only stock clothing but also to create a sales force that responds to the market’s needs, in addition to perks like the lounge"

"I understand his frustration, but if he’ll give us a chance to truly do our best he might be pleased by the results"

ha! I was at the NorthStar store-say that a couple of times fast, and asked about a new air box for my 9r. The guy told me to look in JC whitney....I'm gonna have to agree with Lost on this one. If I need parts I'll get them from a board sponsor, all the rest I'll learn it myself.

good luck on finding riding pants in stock at the store. Most dealers just carry the jackets and you have to order the pants because there are so many different sizes and they are not a high volume selling item. I purchased a FXRG nylon riding jacket that a lot of dealers carry but nobody carries the riding pants. I did find a dealer that will order them for me and if they don't fit, I can return them so that is what I'm going to do. I've been to 7 or 8 dealerships looking for pants and not one dealer carried them! This is a Harley-Davidson product also, so I'm guessing if the dealers don't carry Harley riding pants, they sure won't be carrying Buell's riding pants.

Give them a chance?
I have ordered at least 10 different things from those guys downtown, ranging from simple stuff, plugs, to a bit more complicated-headlight brackets for a set of S1 forks. They've gotten not a one right, and then would charge me a restocking fee for returning it! Regardless of where it's at I won't be going back. Good luck to them and you Mark in gettting them in line, but I don't have a need for a lounge, nor a need to waste my time getting run around like a dog looking for leg to hump...

"The guy told me to look in JC whitney"

OK... so its going to be an up hill battle

Using a board sponsor is the way to go for all of us on BadWeb but.... I would say most Buell owner haven't ever heard of Badweb (to bad for them) So.... with that in mind I will keep working to make it better for as many Buellers in the Columbus area that I can. When It gets better for them it will be better for all of us.

JC Whitney...WTF! Reminds me of a trip to Lowes... when the drunk sales "person" was attempting to help me... A couple of turds in the bowl and nobody wants to drink the punch.... I just don't understand

Mark I was hoping for Buell branded instead of Joe Rocket.

I have been pondering the Lounge at North Star. I have to agree with ceejay on that one. Most of the buell guys I know have no use for a Buell Lounge. Especially clear the heck up there.....

They want to make things better with the buell boys. Stock a few accessory's and apparel. No need to remodel.

since the cyclone is still down, i'm taking the ultra up to pickerington tomorrow with the wife. if anyone wants to get together while i'm up there it sure would be nice. rotzaruk is still laid up with his bum leg and there just aren't just many buell riders here in chattanooga. when i stopped at the shop to see how the bike was doing, this sales guy came up to me cause i had a buell shirt on. come to find out, he had started there a week ago and had the cyclone sitting outside. talked for over an hour about buell and he would like to change the way they look at buell at the store. luckily the bike used to belong to the sales manager before him. anyhow every little bit helps. if any of you columbus area people aren't busy, my number is 813-601-1625.

I bought my jacket from Smoky Mountain HD in Maryville Tn. It is the one that I bought two weeks before crash testing it at homecoming on the go cart track. I must say it held up very well and it does have padding in all of the right places(I just wish I'd had my old jacket on for that event).

I cracked some ribs and sprained my ankles but didn't get a single scratch, abrasion, cut, or even a bruise. The only damage to the jacket were some scuffs on the one shoulder, a little grind through only on the piping at the shoulder, some grind marks on a snap for the arm adjuster, and it peeled a rubber shoulder impact pad off.

They have the pants in stock too, but I had recently bought the preceding style Buell pants and they held up even better than the jacket. I was so impressed and thankful for the awesome knee pads! Just some contact marks on them no tears or cuts.

They generally get the full range of sizes in on any clothing item. If it sells well they will get another run of them. I can't say for sure, but I think they are on the third or fourth round for these jackets.

It is also the coolest riding jacket I've ever had. There are the zip out panels, removable liner, mesh interior layer that allows air to flow around your body and out the back vents, and arm vents. It is actually cooler to wear this jacket in 95F+ heat than it is to wear a T shirt. It keeps the sun off and makes great air flow.

Etennuly, i love how it keeps me cool even in the heat. I stop for gas and people ask "aren't you dieing in that?" and i smile and say no. : )
It does great as long as i don't get stuck in traffic for a while.

Oh yea, i stopped at Danbury HD/Buell today, i forgot to ask about it but they had the jacket in stock, i did't see the pants but they might have them in the back.

I've had great luck with people at Northstar... albiet that's sales and parts people, I have not spoken to clothes people.

The sales people all see me hanging over the Buells, and come up and start talking to me about the new 1125r. I like the suprised look on their face when they come to find out I know way more about it then they do. But they try! They put forth effort!

As said before, the parts guys seem to be great. I'm very suprised somebody told you to go to JC Whitney... I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with anyone in the parts department.

They seemed excited about 1125r. ask sbout buell acc and the girl in moto cloths sent me to someone else. She showed me a older Buell jacket, but brought out a invoce showing where they had ordered about $10000 worth of buell clothing and acceserys. they seemed pretty pumped on Buells.

He wasn't a parts guy, was sales staff, conversation started out nice enough but maybe having my 6 month old son with me pissed him off, don't know don't care. Mostly thought it was interesting, and pretty much showed that they were no different than downtown, who in all honesty never had the attitude just seemed to show incompetence.
Zack I liked...Did you ask him if he sold his lightning long after getting his new job? : )
5000-did those pants come by themselves? if so I will be there tomorrow. May be regardless.
Sorry to turn this into an AD bashing thread, I don't know where to get good stuff other than some of the board sponsors.

I was at Peterson's HD/Buell in St. Pete over the holiday weekend and they had the pants and jackets in stock (although I didn't look to see what sizes were available).

I get EVERYTHING I need from Seminole Buell here in Orlando. They have darn near everything you could want for a Buell (except clutch cables) and if you poke Cesar hard enough, he'll wake up and be very helpful (I take it he doesn't frequent BWB Mike!!).
