I've got a pair of Olympia gauntlet racing gloves and I love them. Break-in was nice, and the fit of them is pretty good. I wear them during even the hottest of weather, and the little vent on top keeps my hands comfortable.

I have a pair of the Airglide pants. Had read some good reviews on them and like them as well. Good construction and they work well. Use them mainly for cold weather riding.

Oldog - Carlos has the AST jacket - good buy! He was wearing it when he went down in March and the jacket held up great. They seem to have more abrasive fabric in areas that would hit first in the event of a fall. So far we're very happy with the jacket.

I've got the Airglide 2 jacket, Ranger 2 pants, and Recon pants. I like them all. They are well thought out and IMO are a good bargain. No real need to update the armor in the jackets(CE all around including back). The pants have CE in the knees but foam in the hips. I upgraded the hips.

IMO, the quality is better than the likes of Tour Master, etc. It does cost a little more but I still think it's a bargain. I would definitely buy again. I wish I would have bought an AST instead of my Tour Master Transition(although I like the Transition a lot).

I'm looking at the phantom 1 piece with liner in SCREAMING YELLOW (hi vis)

I was hoping to get that going soon, I may be making a round trip Wilmington / Reno mid /end of october and I dont think layers under my current gear is going to cut this.

I am wondering about heated vest / grips

Phantom got rave reviews in a bike mag recently--excellent value and very well made. Considering one for myself, the gray one.

Jim; remember Captain Jim's trouble with his brand new Olympia suit on BRATPAC II?

Crotch stitching tore on a brand new suit after 2 or 3 days of riding. The attitude from Olympia was "lackluster" to put it mildly. Capt. Jim finally had to skip out on a day of riding to detour to the factory (near BRP), where they simply repaired the stitching.

Olympia was contacted directly as soon as the stitching ripped and knew Jim was on a cross-country ride. They offered absolutely no help or solutions. They could easily have offered to ship out a new pair of pants to any of Jim's stops across the country, but nope.

Buyer beware. While some of their gear *may* be fine, the attitude of the company, in this case at least, was severely lacking.

I remembered that Jim had problems with it and it was remedied but I forgot the details.

Thanks for reminding me.

Liftoff for Reno is early October so I have to decide on what I want soon, I figure that it will get quite cool in certain areas of AR and NC/TN crossing the mountains.

BTW
I have sent the tools back Today.
The OE seal was like hard plastic and was way different than the new one in the engine now. I had to get a new Torq Wrench 25-250 As always thanks

Jim..
