Is the taller factory windshield worth a purchase> It isn't that much taller. Anyone installed one and what do you think> (Note: my question mark key is not working. Sorry)

hey don't know about the tall factory w/s about 4" taller? but I saw them online for 75 plus 10-20 for shipping so about 95 plus tax? now Cee-Bailey has wind shields from 10-?, 12, 14, 16 inches for around $124? that ppl really seem to like and in different colors and cut styles! I am thinking about these? but you may already know about these?

I am 5' 9" with a 32" inseam, and I found the factory tall windshield to be a great improvement.

It takes the wind off my chest and provides a nice clean flow of air up around my helmet. It is not for everyone though. People of varying heights have reported some annoying buffeting, but I haven't found that to be the case.

I have the Tall shield on my 12Ss & I love it. It puts the air on the top of my helmet with nice calm air at the bottom, Morning rides home in the 40's = no more cold air on my face!

I tried one out on my Scg for about ten minutes just for grins once. I took her out on the interstate and quickly realized it was a giant sail above 70-80 MPH. It really tugged the front end around in a very unsettling way at higher speeds.

Huge difference in comfort on my Uly. Causes a little more turbulence at the bottom of my helmet, but no big deal when wearing earplugs. Worth the $ imo.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll install one.

I'm about 5'8" and the tall screen puts my head right in the buffeting. If I sit up very tall and straight I'm in clean air. I think I will cut and inch off of mine and then it should be just right.
