Ouch! It looks like he was awake after the back impact, until the head hit, then...rag doll. Quite an altitude too.

It was an incredibly bad decision for Sekiguchi to continue at 10/10ths with an accident occuring in front of him. Why anyone would go full speed into a dust cloud he couldn't see through, during a warm-up session no less, is totally beyond me.

Because people (including you and I) fall asleep while awake.. going into tunnel vision if you will. You'd be surprised what you would see going on around you if you were actually wide awake 100% of the time. Read George Ivanovich Gurdgeiff books/write ups.

Now that's a HIGH side! I started watching the video and the low side at the beginning
thinking "there's nothing special about this crash, happens all the time", then as the bike
continues to run...and spin...into the racing line alarm bells started ringing!

I wish him a quick, and full, recovery.

As for why he was still running hot- He may not have seen the yellow flag if he was cutting
a good lap he may well have been in tunnel vision mode as Thunderheart suggested.

Amazing what the human body can withstand!
Course' on the other hand it is scary how fragile life can be at times.
The ultimate paradox I guess.

When there's a bounce, you know it's gonna hurt.
