Here's what I'm thinking so far on pricing:

Option A (12 x 18 posters)
I can get a quantity of up to 250 for just under $400. If each of the sponsors paid $100 each that would cover the costs. I would plan on shipping a quantity to the hotel in Wisconsin, so for people attending the 20th event the posters would be free. I can even get 100 cardboard tubes for $18 for carrying them home. For people not attending, I could set up a PayPal account and they would only need to send a small shipping and handling fee to get a poster. Probably around $3.00 or so per poster.

Option B (17 x 24 posters)
This size would cost closer to $800. In order to print this size we would either need to get more sponsors or everyone would have to pay for a poster.

I am leaning toward Option A. I wanted the posters to be 17 x 24 but I think it's going to be harder to get them paid for at that size.

John, are you sure on the sponsors paying anything???

Uke's and Hal's are not being charged either since all 3 are fronting money to help the event, and that wasn't my decision either !! So we only have 2 paying sponsors,

Thats fine John ya done good,awesome,excellent.But if you would like I live about 4 city blocks from Days Inn Hotel.And will be there for any needs and if you would like, you could send posters to me incase any mishaps would happen to them at the hotel.

I would hate to see John front any $$$ end up not recouping his costs.

Perhaps the powers that be can shed some light on just how this poster is supposed to be paid for?

Dyna the reason Hal's and Uke's aren't being charged is because they are already doing there part in food at both dealerships and battletrax.I don't think it would be fair to ask them for additional money for poster's I don't think that would happen.

I understand that Dana, but look at Johns post & he is under the impression that each sponsor is being charged $100. Doesnt someone think he should be clued in as to what is going on??

I'll need to speak to John and Chris aka CMJ about this.If need be we will have to be charged the $3.00 dollars per a poster charge either way it will be worked out.

OK, I'll jump in here. For the past six to eight weeks, I thought we had at least four sponsors putting up $100 each. I've been figuring that the sponsors would cover the costs of printing. But if we only have two sponsors, then the costs won't be covered. How are we going to cover the costs? There seems to be interest in the poster and people seem willing to pay, but how will that be handled?

John I'm going off of what Dennis told me.And that was Hal's and Uke's would be on there automatic because they are already fronting considerable money for this event.Food and refreshments at both dealerships Battletrax and bike show.Me being the one that organized the send off party Uke's and battletrax,I can't ask for more.That battletrax not cheap to get Reg here

Dennis is my Boss !!! From what I understand, Dennis, Bads, and Spidey are in charge, but the only person I've taken directions from is Dennis !!

m2me, contact Dennis (you have his e-mail) about the poster, he has been handling the details !!

Here's what I'm going out on limb to volunteer, cause folks we're all adults here, k ??

Anyone who wants to be a sponsor, and have their logo on the poster, can be for $100, anyone who doesn't it's cool too !! I think the poster looks great and would look good in anyone's shop !! I have promised my two sponsors they will get a couple of posters for their shop, as should any sponsor !!

Uke's and Hal's both are paying more than $100 for their part and I don't think anyone would have an objection to that ??

I'll take care of getting the money from my sponsors to Dennis/Brew City BRAG, as per our agreement and my discussions with them, they are covered !!

ANYONE who wants to get us more volunteers, please do so the help will be appreciated !!

However, it doesn't take an accountant to figure out we have $200 towards the poster, and if we sell the rest (minus what is given to the sponsors) at 3.00 that WAY more than covers our costs !! I personally don't have ANY problem paying $3.00 for the poster, $3 is NOTHING you can't even buy lunch for that !!

We've taken a poll somewhere before and there were a lot of people interested in getting a poster, so we're ALL in this together guys !!

So put me down for 2 posters please !!!

Personally, I don't believe that the financial part of this project should be discussed in public. I feel it should be between the organizers and others that are involved via email or telephone.

Think about it and I am sure you will agree.

If I am reading this correctly it looks like John is saying the shipping & handling are $3. This was based on the assumption that all cost would be covered so the posters would be free. Any cost for a poster would be in addition to that fee if you needed to have it shipped.

John how many folks have committed to buying one so that an actual dollar amount per poster can be listed here?

O.K., 250 posters cost $400. Two sponsors kick in $200.That leaves $250 to be covered by people wanting posters. At $3.00 per person, that means I should figure on 80 - 90 people attending the Anniversary. That sounds reasonable to me.

Crusty, exactly very reasonable !! Your just saying exactly what I was trying to, that it is feasable, nothing more, nothing less !!

As for the financial cost being kept private, how am I going to get sponsors if I keep that part a secret ??? No reason to not be able to publicly let everyone know what it takes to be a sponsor, kinda like saying hey if you want a Milwaukee Rally passport it's gonna cost you $20 !!!

As for the $3 figure I threw out there, it was an imaginary number to show that I was thinking we're not as bad off as it appears, in response to m2me's post and Dyna's !!

Maybe I still didn't make it clear that I'm not in charge I'm NOT saying the posters are $3.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to have the posters be the bigger,17x24 size.
I have already committed to be a sponsor.
If it would help, I'll kick in $200.00, you can just make our banner a little bigger.
Even if we had to charge $5.00 per poster, I'll take 10 of them!
Looks like Aaron and Brian want on board as a sponsor too.
I'm pretty sure we could get some additional sponsors. CJM, I have some ideas of who, we can talk when you call me today.
The 20th is only going to happen once!
I totally agree with having Hal's and Uke's on the poster for free. I know how much it costs to hold a BattleTrax event and Hal's is giving us free food too.

m2me, can you get the information to the two new sponsors regarding what they need to do to get their logos to you to put on the poster ???

So now we officially have 4 sponsors and two who are willing to sponsor $200 for the bigger size poster !!

Do you need the full cost of printing up front or can we get a deposit on it until the posters have been completed ?? e-mail me or get me your phone number and I'll give you a call too !!

I'm keeping up with everyone who's requesting a poster, can't give anyone a price on them yet but it can't be unaffordable !!
