Perhaps posting a photo in the "Old School Buell" section might bring forth some more useful information. In addition, the model designation is usually printed on the "Points Cover" the round plate on the right hand side of the timing case. |

1997 was the first official year for a black Buell. There was one custom black S-2 built. You'll soon be able to read about it. |

I really miss that DCBRAG.org web page with the history page on it showing all the Buell models. |

How is that book coming Court? After getting a ride to the Boiler room with you at Homecoming and hearing your stories, I can't wait to read it! |

You are correct. There was a black 1996 S-1. |

Looking at that, I wish we could see a return of the "regulator mock neck" shirts from circa 1996. And the "Buell race Jersey" from 1998. Both of those look like cool multi-season under-gear apparel. Unfortunately the availability of the pic and pages is spotty. I'd also like to see a return of the bike model patches ie..firebolt, Lightning, City-X, Ulysses,Blast, SuperTT. adding the different displacements would make it a bit too complex, but model names should be do-able, and if they were reflective (like some of the "reflexile" material or similar to "solas" material it would be even better. Making us a little more visible at night while still maintaining our COOL. (Message edited by diablobrian on August 13, 2007) |
