I used to lurk around here a while back, but haven't posted in a long time.
Here's a pic of my little chopper built from a 2000 M2 and a wrecked '97 S2.

I'm also picking this up this afternon. It's #31 of 800.

Brad,

Your chopper is awesome! I hate the stretched out springer type that the OCC a$$clowns build. They are bad copies of someone else's work. I don't think welding bullets on your down tubes is particularly innovative.

I love the low short drag bike style choppers. I LOVE the stuff that comes out of Exile Choppers. Yours is the perfect combination of simplicity and angry purpose.

LOVE IT!

One day, I hope to have one like that. Bravo!

Oh, and welcome to BadWeb! I look forward to reading your posts!

Thanks for the positive comments and nice welcome. If anyone is interested, here's a few more pics of the custom.

I gotta admit to liking the minimalist, classic chopped bikes.

Clean.

The bars are made by Pro-Tec and I found them on Ebay.

I like the minimalist approach, too. I kinda had 2 goals in mind when I started building it. I wanted to do it as inexpensive as possible, but still try to make it cool and wanted it to be bare-bones and functional. If it doesn't need it, it doesn't have it.
I started with a basket case '97 and ended up parting it out and doubling my money. I then found a '2000 M2 for the right price and sold the extra stuff and kept the motor. I made all my money back on that one. After it was all said and done, I only have about $3200 out of my pocket in the whole build. I'm pretty stoked on it.

What or who's frame is that? Doesn't look like a Paughco.

The frame is a one-off built by a shop somewhere in Indiana. I bought it from a guy who had started the build but got in a bind.

I would love to build another one sometime.
