Still havn't decided if it's a bad thing or not but I've left the world of Buell Motorcycles (at least for a while). I've purchased a 2004 Harley-Davidson Road King Police Edition. But, I need BadWeb's help at least one more time. I can't seem to find any good forums for Road Kings or just Harley in general. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Barge..... say I ride a Deuce(retired model) and I haven't found any HD boards similar to this. Been riding for a lot of years!

Actually I'm looking at the 1125R as a second bike! Anyway stay in touch and let me know if you find one.

Here's one, don't know how good it is, and I forget if this is the one that some "factory" people visit and hang out on:

I have a 2000 EFI RK with 95" kit, Thunder header and Power Commander. Tuned by Doug M. from Carl's Speed Shop in Daytona. I really like this bike. Runs strong, comfortable, etc. I bought it new and it is getting ready to turn 60000 miles which stuns me as I rarely ride it any more. Uly gets used a lot though.

Probably because most Road King owners are too old to learn how to use computers!

Nah, just kiddin. Hope you enjoy that new monster!

There's probably some RoadKing owners who were in on designing and developing the computers and software at the beginning of software and computers that are still fluent and current on current hardware and software.

Let age not be your guide as to who knows what nor how well they know it.

I thought you were referring to Ferris! We followed him and D through the Blue Ridge Parkway. Actually I guess you could say we took the same roads, because he was usually waiting for us at the next turn off! Not sure how D stays on that bike with him.

Purely coincidence, saw a good friend today here in France, & he's looking at buying a Road King but he's put off by the fuel injection, is there a carb' kit? or a hot ecm you can swap in?

I rode one a few years back & enjoyed the experience, apart from the sheets of sparks at every roundabout!

2006 was the last year that a carb RK was sold. People do reto fit carb's onto EFI bikes but it is not a simple process.

King of the Road King

It was a muddy, icy, dirt road, up the side of a mountain. I was in the lead, on my Uly, and he was pushing me.

Thanks a lot for the info guys. And as for the age thing...I'm only 23 and I think this bike rips. Could be cause it's a Police edition but my groupe still won't let me lead cause they can't keep up. Bought it Friday and added 800 miles by sunday night and didn't feel like I rode a mile (except for the sunburn). Bad news though. My never ending luck with tires. Just picked up a nail today about 3 miles from the garage it sleeps in so dosn't look like I'll be riding it untill next weekend. Thanks again!
