I don't know but I would like to be back in MA by ~6 on Sunday. That's why I figured Saturday but if you want to ride till bout noon-1 on Sunday then go to BBQ that's fine too.

meet up at perkins 9am sunday, ride am, bq at hammers around noon gets you back on the road to mas at a reasonable hour. sound good?

Hey guys. Sorry it took so long for me to chime in here...been busy as a bastad...
I'm driving out tonight and staying at the Country Side place Damnut is.
I'll be out riding around tomorrow morning while waiting for Damnut to show. If anybody is looking to start riding earlier give me a call on my cell 508-320-4625. I'll try to tell you where I'm at and you can try to find me or help me find you...

I think they mean Perkins Memorial Drive - intersects with 7 Lakes Drive at the top of Bear Mountain....
Hopefully I'll be able to hit the road soon...water in the basement, water in my tools...it was ugly...now I can pack and head out! |

Help, we got a problem.
Tonight Damnut's (Jim) XB12 blew its front spark plug out of the head.
The head threads are gone! we can literally drop a new plug into the hole.
None of the local auto parts stores have a "time-sert" or a "heli-coil" plug repair kit for a 12mm plug.
What we do have is a donor head with perfect threads from Hammer71's totalled XB.
What we need is a head gasket and rockerbox gaskets to do the swap.
There is no Buell dealer in town, but there is a harley dealer.
Does anyone know if there is a sportster head gasket that will work? Perhaps the late 2006/2007 rubbermounted sportster engine uses the same gaskets?
Jim's engine is in my garage. it is already rolled down out of the chassis. We just need the gasket desperately.
Can anybody get us the gaskets on a sunday, or know if there is a compatible harley gasket?
