Is this someone from here? Way to get the Buell name out there. Not all together sure the story going along with it is the type Buell wants to be associated with, but what do I know?

I believe there may be a more insidious scenario evolving here . . .something that the folks in East Troy and the occasionally errant dealers need to pay attention to.

Although it may just be my need for a reading glasses prescription upgrade . . .or a few more synaptics lost to the carrying of an AARP card . . .but isn't that shirt from the Buell Women's line? I believe that this guy, like so many others of us, was unable to find a decent Buell shirt at any of the local dealers. He was forced, in a desperate moment, to buy a women's shirt on eBay. This first experimental cross-dressing move set him on a slippery slope . . . .to where he found himself at a pool party, surrounded by "toe dancers" . . .where the uniform of the day was thongish.

With his fellow thongster's encouragement . . .he decided it was time to "out" himself. . . .and unfortunately did not choose his outing locations wisely.

The lesson . . .and warning in this story is: There is a tear in the time/space/gender continuum . . .caused by a severe lack of testosterone friendly Buell t-shirts and accessories. Immediate steps need to be taken in East Troy and on Juneau Street . . .lest the next new Buell have the name . . ."Poofterbolt" . . .

YMMV

Question,...if it was a female doing the same thing, would she have been arrested/charged?

Isn't Andy Hamblin the racer that was featured in the last issue of Fuell? Sure looks like him.

I do believe you're right. Hamblin is from Fla as well.

. . .methinks me hears rumblings from the legal offices on Juneau Street. Grumblings that sound something like . . ."What was he thinking? Why didn't he wear his "Andy" shirt rather than bring the company logo into the world of thongedness . . ."

Could've been worse. He could've been eating a plate of fried okra during the interview, right?

"Don't some people say "There is no such thing as bad publicity."?"

I fish pro fishing tournaments and have had sponsors ranging from rod makers, lure makers to boat and motor makers. I'd have lost every one of them if this happened to me while wearing their gear. Its an embarrassment for a sponsor.

I think Buell oughta pay this guy.
he's a funny young man, and he wasn't hurting anyone

you know, people watch jackass or candid camera and think iot's great...then when someone pulls a harmless prank, but wears a Buell shirt, it's a problem?
NO serious sports hardware sponsor would pull a ride for this, most would actually owe him some $, according to the way in which his contract's written....
exposure is exposure

Aw geez, it wasn't like he was hanging it all out there, for crying out loud. He didn't show much more than any bathing suit. I'd rather be associated with that kind of good-natured stupid behavior than some of the folks I've known riding other bikes. I hope Buell doesn't take his ride away from him.

Hey, did anybody catch the fact that they dropped the charges for lack of evidence?

Any exposure for a new company is great, for an established company like Harley and Buell, this isn't the kind of attention they want. Winning races is the kind of attention they want and are paying for.

What'd he get nicked for then? it's no worse than a bathing suit!

Here people may have laughed but he wouldn't have been arrested or even spoken to unless he was showing more than he shoulda.

At least they couldn't do him for carrying a concealed weapon.

Land of the free? sure, I believe ya.

Maybe he's going after Rossi's title as the most charismatic racer. It doesnt do well for Buell though. If it gives him a podium I guess he could wear them under his leathers.

Dammit Wile you shouldn't go round putting images like that in peoples heads, it's not nice.

Though it makes me think of Tim Robbins in Bull Durham. (great film)

BTW I think it was hilarious.

You guys that see a problem in this are nuts!

When he had the thong on he was wearing some other kind of tee shirt (it can be seen in the surveillance video in the first shop). I can't tell what it says but it's not Buell.

So he shows up for a TV interview and exposes the name Buell on TV without any discussion of what a Buell is, whether or not it had anything to do with the this, or anything else.

You're making a mountain out of a molehill here. This is like political correctness gone crazy or something.

If he was having a "fallout" problem when he was wearing the thong, the bust may have been legitimate.

If he was not, and if a woman could have walked in wearing the same thing (with a top or tee shirt) without getting busted, I think it is time for this guy to get an ambulance chasing maggot... Oops, I mean get a lawyer, and go after the local PD and the Feds for every trumped up charge he can come up with. Sex discrimination, false arrest, etc., etc.

This could do wonders for his racing budget. Maybe he could afford to get started on getting a 1125R set up for racing.

Sheesh!

This is the last place in the world where I would expect to see a guy who was just pronounced not guilty of anything to get attacked for wearing a Buell tee shirt in a TV interview about it.

Jack

Wow, that was funny.

I really don't see the problem. Most americans are way too repressed and up-tight. I would agree with my 14 year old
son: "that should be covered under freedom of expression, right" of course it isn't really about what was covered, but
more so about what was un-covered which was just a few square inches of his @ss.

Basically it comes down to: how much more was shown than if he was wearing a speedo? (banana hammock)
being arrested for that was ridiculous. Must have been a slow day for the off-duty sheriff and the Fed.

That or they were looking for a good story to be able to tell their buddies in the "weirdest arrest game" that is so
similar to bench racing in some circles.

To me he sounds like a fruitcake.
