After a long 2 months and talking very nicely to the lady at the DMV my plates came in!!!

plate 1

plate 3

Talking real nice to the Lady worked! In Fl you can only get 7 letters on a personal plate but she was able to get me 7 letters and space!!!.

Too bad you couldn't get the under_bar!

Not really big on personalized plates, but that one just plain fits.

Hey Tq_freak - How much $$$ did the state of FL hit you for personalized plate? Is it a one time hit or every year when you renew registration?

DJ- I tryed to get the underbar at first but she that is counts as a charater but the space really doesnt or something like that, its the dmv it doesn't make sence.

Aeholton - I didnt it when my reg was up anyway so I think it was an extra $50 for the personal ones and I think its like an extra $5 a year on reg but im not sure. But they gave me a real one to use till it came in so I got something else to hang on the wall.

"...its the dmv it doesn't make sence."

You got that right. Real quick one... I got my license renewed in 1988 in Cobb County, Georgia. The DMV never sent me my new one... all I had was my old license cut in half with the picture stapled to a temporary paper one. After 6 weeks, the paper license expired and I went back to find out what was going on. The DMV said it must have been lost in the mail but I could re-apply for the renewal. I gave them the cut up license stapled to the temporary one... AND THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT IT AS A VALID FORM OF ID.

That was the worst catch-22 I ever found myself in. It started a chain of events that lasted months... just to get my license renewed. I was driving around with an expired license while the DMV made me jump through hoop after hoop trying to get my damn license. They refused to accept my birth certificate as ID because the official stamp on it wasn't indented into the paper properly. I lost my identity because of the DMV.

It doesn't have to make sense... you are so right.

Fez, that does sound like a pretty sweet deal. I wish it was a one time fee. I hate having to pay the state every freakn year. The only nice thing Florida does is you get a new plate every 7 years....woohoo.

Maybe for the underscore, you could get a piece of green electrical tape, cut it to size, and place it in a appropriate position?

Nice Plate BTW!
