I just got a laptop for work, and I was wondering if there were any of this years bags left anywhere that can handle a laptop? I check a couple of the dealers by me and they don't have anymore.

If not does anybody have a good recommendation for a laptop backpack. I usually don't ride in the rain but it may happen.

Thanks

Not sure if Appleton might have any left over or not... Send Andy a message (Buellerandy) to see if he has any left. You can find him in the sponsors section.

Would someone post a pic of how it's supposed to be worn? No matter how I try and strap it on, it looks like a man-purse.

No pic handy, but I put mine on with the strap going diagonal over the left shoulder and under the right armpit, then the dangly strap connects/clips into the lower left corner and up to the hoop-strap near my right shoulder with the bag centered low on my back just off the seat when I'm sitting on the bike. You could put the dangly strap across the front of your waist to the lower clip on the lower right side of the bag, but I find it helps to secure the strap over the shoulder when I clip it to the sliding loop on the shoulder strap.

If it looks too much like a man-purse then just carry a monkey wrench in one of the side pouches and a greasy rag in the other side mesh pouch.

Got no idea if any of this helps undo any images of Metro-Man you might have feared.

This thing has shoulder straps designed for someone with a torso the size of Shaquille O'Neil, I think. I FINALLY got it adjusted so it is as short as possible and it still hangs lower than I'd like (I'm only 5'10") but at least now the lower strap isn't strangling my come-se-llama when I wear it now.

I prefer the term "man bag." To quote my first 2nd LT. in the Marines. And no, I'm completely out of them here in appleton.

Timbuktu makes a great messenger type bag, that'll fit anything, and they have a waterproof lining. I've had mine for six years now and pretty much use it everyday, but I don't carry a laptop. As far as laptops go though probably the best would be one of those swiss army backpacks, or the Axio, painted like a turtle: )

I really like the most recent Buell bag....Thanks again Laura, Steve, and Bud... I also have a larger Ogio messenger bag
(holds a 17" lap top in it's computer pocket, and has the "schling harness) for when the Buell bag is not quite big enough.

I wear the bag slung diagonally across with the strap on the right shoulder and the bag on the left hip. the small strap
is hooked through the d-ring on the left and I hook the waist strap from the right side up to the small strap on the d-ring.

does that help?

Let me tell ya. Brian has that thing packed too. At homecoming I don't think he could have put anything else in it.

The joys of having two riders in the garage, I now have a set of them that I will be using on the bike as soft luggage when my Caribou Pelican cases are off the bike.

Brian, not a problem. I told you we'd hook you up! Hals/Bud/Laura didn't disappoint like usual : )
