This coming Wednesday, July 18, is the annual "Ride to Work Day!" Leave the gas guzzler at home and ride your Buell to work! http://www.ridetowork.org/

Every day for the past 4 months has been ride to work day for me. There has been a few rare exceptions when i needed transport several people before and after work, but other than that i always take the Buell, rain or shine, or like last week, hail.

I too ride in almost every day. People at work see gas jump to 3.50 a gallon and start asking me for rides in.

funny how people give you looks, act snide, etc. when gas is 2.50/gal, but when it jumps to over 3.00/gal they become super interested in what your doing...

Anything that promotes interest in motorcycling is okay by me.

I ride to work every day.....The local Harley dealer feeds them hotdogs on that day. Ride to work day what a joke.

Are we a nation of posers or what?

If there was a way to add a tank track to my front and rear wheel, I'd ride all year long.

I am seriously considering a Ural for my winter commuter.....Ural Patrol. Cool a user selectable single or two wheel drive.

I am not gonna drive the buell this winter...salt ate it up big time last year.

Just about every day is ride to work day. Our mail LADY delivers our mail year round with her Ural, rain or shine, sleet or snow, she is there every day.

I would love to ride to work, but my bike has been in the shop for the past 2 months getting fixed from an accident! I'm hoping they will have it done in the next couple weeks.

Chadr81:
What kind of repair did it need that would take 2 months? even a complete rebuild shouldn't take that long.

Took a pretty hard hitting high side. No frame damage. They keep saying that they are waiting on parts, but when I check with the parts dept, the parts are there. I had to order some parts for them because no one was getting it done. Pretty busy time of year I guess. They are supposed to finally get started on it this next week from what the service manager says... we will see.

all but 10 days of 2007, I've rode the S3T, the Wife's CityX, or my TT to work. But having the month of July off, I'm *NOT* going to ride my bike to work on the 18th. It would be a long commute from Newport VT to Brookfield, WI though : )

Lost, check out Speakers Cycle in Steubenville for that Ural. He's got a few and can get anything you want. (I know, SHAMELESS PLUG) I used to wrench for him.

I walk a mile to work every day. I'm so close it's really a pain in the @$$ to get suited up for the trip, so I only do it on special occasions (like the time I rode the Buell down the hallway inside our building and parked it outside the door to my office). Long story...(-:

Since I ride everywhere I go, everyday, I think I'll take that day off and go nowhere.
0.0 gallons of fuel used, 3-5 gallons of Sam Adams used instead.
