Hey, Daves back on a Buell! This calls for a celebration! Dave, can you tell us which bar/restaurant in the area makes the best fried okra?

Yummy!

They never got the carb to work and after i left to go to Appleton the whole project pretty much got forgotten.
It's back to reg race ECM. They also took the Force pipe off it and put the latus back on.
Still has the Hoban heads, 1050 kit and cams though.
They cammed it too big and it is pretty much "on or off" from what they told me. Make a good track bike but not real easy to ride on the street.
I didn't want to go thru all the changing cam thing so I got the white one instead.

HellbellyJ, I don't think you can even buy okra here in Iowa.
Kandie says it has been banned!

That was in Colorado last year on the way to Durango

Dave,
Archery shop?
I remember introducing you to a few Buell guys, you know... Erik, Court and a few others.
Right now I work for the largest manufacturer of arrow nocks and vanes on the planet. We also make bow sights and some other cool archery stuff. Maybe we will cross paths again.

That is just proof again that it is a small world Greg.
I have some nocks on order right now from them.
I do not order direct though, I go thru one of my distributors for their products.

I am already feeling the pain some of you have gone thru(before you found the sponsors of Badweb).
Went to the dealer this morning to buy a new belt. Yep, not in stock
Made a call to Appleton WI and my new belt, along with a DB windscreen and frame pucks will be on their way tomorrow.
Buell of Appleton still ROCKS!

Daves - I think the early problems you are having with the new bike is an omen! Quick I'll give you $2000 and take the trouble off your hands.

Selling Dave a bike is probably like serving Mass to the pope. : )

I hope they were sufficiently contrite.

I'll tell you like I tell everyone else. Just get your stuff from Appleton. It's easier than driving to your dealer.

Daves should be banned from BadWeb! All he ever does is bitch and moan. "My dealer didn't have a belt in stock! My wife didn't buy me a brand new 1125R! Buells suck!!!"

hey Dave,

Buell has come up with a belt lubing procedure for the 03 models to improve the elastisity and durability of those belts...

step 1. inspect belt for any wear or defects

step 2. remove any dirt or debris from the belt and the pulleys

step 3. take one large order of fried okra and rub each piece over the entire belt surface until the grease and juices have soaked into the material and you acheive a consistent and balanced shine.

step 4. repeat at each oil change and inspect at each gas fill up...a small ziplock bag of okra kept in your underseat storage area is highly recommended.

haha
