Last Sunday, during the East Troy parade with the Buell factory that the wife and I were invited to partake in, my new "Ulybolt" blew a intake seal. I took it in to Hals Monday morning for their "early bird" service. See, they have so many hours for 1st come, 1st served service. So I showed up at 6:30AM. They open at 7AM. I was 5th in line... Normally, they would have at LEAST 20 hours available on any given morning for early bird service. This morning, because of the heavy work load, and service techs on vacation they only had 10 hours available. The 1st guy in line, took 4.5 hours The 2nd guy in line took 8+ hours for a 20K service(IIRC) Okay, so we're in to the negative hours now Liz, the service writer knew it's Homecoming week, and looked at me with a somber face, and said "Steve, we'll do everything we can to get your bike fixed by Tuesday night but I can't promise anything.". They came through for me! And a big thanks goes out to Terry Galagan for working on a non race bike!!! THANK YOU HALS! |

thanks for posting that Steve because that's the meaning of service! Some dealers have it and some don't! Always good to hear about a dealer who goes the extra mile for you and it sounds like Hal's is one of them. |

Could Hal's open a branch in Columbus. We could really use a dealer that is interested in taking care of the customer. |
